Hey there,
Just wondering if anyone found any 3d compatible websites with 3d pics?
I saw on another forum that the browser is supposed to have some book marked but I cant find the links anywhere

In the bookmarks section you go into "3DS Bookmarks" and scroll to the bottom - there is a couple under a heading about sites you can view in 3D.

No sites listed there for me either,
Any chance someone could post the addresses of these sites as it seems some users cant see them?
Thanks

Hmmm, that's strange. Are you guys outside of North America? This might be something they only put in the NA version of the update. I'm sorry I can't go look it up right now, hopefully someone else reading will be generous enough to do it (:

hmm... can you embed a 3D image into the forums?

Well the bookmarking site itself seems to be http://cgi2.nintendo.co.jp/favorites/3ds.php?r=UAS&l=en&a...
Not sure if y'can actually put that in and go there or not, but I see that there for me.

One of the bookmarks is
http://www.klutz.com/static/nintendo/n3ds_mm9.html

The other is
http://www.instructables.com/3ds/

Those are the only two I can find. Now, the question isn't if there ARE any 3D sites, but rather if there will be any INTERESTING ones.

Hey thanks very much for the sites.
i live in the uk so maybe thats why my bookmarks are different

Even without having to look through the 3DS I can confirm it wouldn't work. The 3D images work on those certain sites because it downloads an .mpo file to view in your browser. These files contain the images needed to see 3D.

The image I embedded was a .mpo file. If I linked to it here (same link but with URL tags instead of IMG tags) and you clicked on it it should work.

It's ok, we all make mistakes. You should've noticed that I was embedding an .mpo image when you quoted me though

sucks that the browser doesn't understand a 3D image embedded in a page. Maybe they will get this working in an later update sigh

I just have an impulse to jump on things before anyone else, so I didn't see it! My bad, though thanks for clearing that up.

I guess for now, the site has to be ready for 3D. I think I heard of an Ubisoft site that's 3D compatible. I can't remember, nor do I feel like looking for it, but it was way back in the news.

@Sky it does actually. Just need to tap and hold on the picture, and it will load up and you can view it in 3D.

Also, our site automatically converts 3D mpo images to 2D jpegs when embedded. Maybe we could do a 3D compatible site in future though...?

This one works www.share3ds.com, you do have to select the images ( twice ) to get them to show in 3D.

I was able to view mpos at 3dporch.com by tapping the mpo tabs and then the download tab, but if I tried to upload a photo it would select the jpg from my camera photos instead of the mpo. Are we only supposed to be able to upload jpgs, because for some reason I thought we were supposed to be able to upload 3D photos with the browser?

YES IT DOES WORK!!!!!!! why couldnt you guys figure this out?! in the 3ds browser click and hold the image then release. the image will go to the top screen and will be in 3D. the bottom screen will ask you if you want to download it! (only if the image uploaded is a .mpo, and that one is.)
