About a month or 2 ago, I heard someone say that Nintendo's idea for giving notifications for the upcoming games was a great thought, but Ninty would misuse it. I paraphrase, "We'll just get a notification saying 'You have chosen recieved notifications for this title!' And the next one saying 'The game has come out!' Well, your fears have come true! Oops, that didn't make sense... ANYWAAAAYS, I noticed I recieved 1, yes 1 notification for Super Mario 3D Land. And it wasn't even relevant to the game. Here's how it SHOULD be. "You have selected recieve notifications for this title!" A week later... A stupid developer's note talking about the making of the game. 2 weeks later... A demo is sent to you. A couple days later... A bunch of info about the game is sent to you, including screenshots, videos, and everyone's favorite president of NOA with something to say about the unique features of the game, blah, blah, blah. A day later, ' The game is out now!'Anyone agree? Please add your ideas here!

I dont know Nintendo sent me a Notification for Zelda Skyward Sword and told me where I could find the Videos and Screenshots of the Upcoming game and included a nice bit of artwork with the Message on the wii and I expect the same will happen with the 3DS. Im happy with a little Notification reminding you about the game, everything else seems a little overkill.

It does feel like a missed opportunity by Nintendo, but, since you can find more than you could ever dream about a game online in this day and age, it's hardly worth complaining about.

The problem/worry is that they don't want to annoy user's by filling their notification inbox with tons of messages which would result in tons of people turning notifications off.
Also demos aren't ready yet!
