Topic: Another 3DS Zelda game

As many of you know, there's another 3DS zelda coming. What do you think it'll be? I'm hoping for a four swords remake with online multiplayer.. It gives you so much advantage of having your own screen! Remember how in Four Swords when one person went in the house, the screen would be shown on the Gameboy? Well, on 3DS, the same thing is possible, but then cheaper. To play Four Swords with 4 people, it costed around (assuming the gamecube was around 200, the game 45 (or 60) and the 4 GBA's in total around 300... im not even counting the cost of the link cables, which aren't very expensive, but still around 40 bucks)

around 600 dollars.. it's alot cheaper now of course. With the 3DS, you need 4 systems, 4 copies and nothing moe. I'll caculate both 3DS and 2DS.
2DS: 580 bucks, holy ****

I won't even bother caculating the 3DS.

Anyways, what do you think the game will be?

Since the two original DS Zelda were really similar to each other and they were top down, I think it will be a top down Zelda with a slightly different art design from ALBW and will have much more exploration and it will have co-op and maybe online. I would like a 4 swords remake, but don't get your hopes up...

Again a game like oracle of ages/ oracle of seasons 3DS would be welcomed. But instead of a 2-D four sword why not a 3-D multiplayer game with more than just Link or maybe 4 forms of Link like in Majora's Mask.

I still think we will get a Majora's Mask 3D announcement sooner or later.

Probably some Tingle game no one cares about.

I'm not even sorry about how much I would enjoy Zelda remakes. I wouldn't care for Wii or DS remakes, because I can already play those on my Wii U and 3DS, but I would buy remakes of ALttP, OoA, OoS, LA, and MM on 3DS. There's already engines and assets for all of them.

But technically, every Zelda game except Four Swords Adventures is already available on Wii U and 3DS either natively, through emulation, DSiWare, or VC.

I'm not sure if we need another original Zelda title on 3DS right now though. We just got ALBW and Zelda U is out next year.

I guess it sounds weird that I think we need more Zelda remakes, but not more original Zeldas.

And I just realized how cool a Legend of Zelda RPG would be.

I'd actually like to see a multiplayer-centered core Zelda game. By that I mean not the lame Four Swords principle (the competition part was seriously annoying, and the dungeon designs were terrible), but something more akin to intertwined dungeons with split paths that require well-timed teamwork to solve puzzles, defeat bosses, and traverse the dungeons in general. And at the end, it doesn't matter who was the "best", but rather the fact that you had fun together (unless someone was incompetent).

Something like this happened in Phantom Hourglass in a dungeon with you and a kid goron where you guide both through branching paths in the temple and in Majora's Mask in Sakon's Hideout with Kafei. It would be cool to see how they would handle this in a multiplayer aspect.

I'd really like to see a game with the same style/gameplay as OoT 3DS, but with an entirely new story. The item system and equipping was just so awesome in that game.

...uh...well there's this other game people have been wanting on 3DS. Might've have heard of it.

I think whatever it is will use lots of the work already done for ALBW. (So it won't be too different).

Wouldn't it be great if we got a brand new 3DS zelda game and the remake of Majora's Mask?

I certainly hope not. There's so much potential for a new Zelda game on 3DS that isn't top-down.

Since we've gotten a lot of cartoon art style Zeldas I'd like a realistic looking on on the handheld since we're getting a cel-shaded one on the Wii U. Not top down and with either Oot or ALBW's inventory system.
