I've heard of people saying their towns got "messed up" by letting in trolls and un-conscientious players. I've only had friends visit my town, so I'm not sure what this means. What can other players do to your town? I've guessed killing your flowers, cutting trees, picking all your fruit, and littering, perhaps? Can they steal your villagers (or make your villagers move away in general) or change your villagers' opinion of you?
Thanks for your insight, Jessica

My name's Jessica. I have oranges natively. :)
People can steal/destroy your flowers, cut off your trees with an axe, take fruits and throw items; but stealing villagers can't happen, unless the villager decides to move to a friend's town someday. Also iirc, people who go to your village can talk to your villagers and tell them something but it won't change their opinion of you. Hope that helped (I may have got the villager part wrong so don't take my word for it.)

Crime doesn't pay, unless you are really good at it then those who are legal criminals ...
Best be careful inviting players to your town. Animal Crossing trolls can, and are willing to, go to extreme... Of course- 3DS has no Action Replay equivalent and no widespread hacking yet- but it just shows how some people really want to do nothing but annoy others.
I think you'll generally be safe with people here, though.
You won't get that many trolls in Animal Crossing; I mean, cutting down peoples trees and trampling flowers isn't that fun. It's more fun destroying peoples Minecraft houses and creations with explosives: something that's thankfully absent from Animal Crossing.
Stay safe, kids: Make sure to save frequently during multiplayer, and always use a stylus!
