Can someone, honestly, explain to me, a newbie, why I should (possibly) invest in this?
If it helps, I'd like to tell you all that I've already played several Harvest Moon games.
Animal Crossing has all the fun of harvest moon, but without any of it actually feeling like a chore. Just relaxing and doing what you want to do it kind of seems like a sandbox. Fishing, bug catching, house designing are all fun because there are tens of different kinds of fish/bugs/furniture to discover. You should give it a shot if any of it sounds like it will interest you, because it's one of those games you have to play to fully understand the charm and appeal.
what i wanna know is the difference to other ac games. since you're mayor now i would think that the progression at the beginning kinda gets lost. i mean starting from very small to become very big. not practically but just the feeling.
i wanna compare it to minecraft. imagine starting a new world in minecraft and you dont need to build a shabby hut at the beginning cause you've already have a big tower and plenty of food.
get my point? :/
also i wonder how the feeling of money is in this game.
i mean your the mayor so money shouldnt be a problem. do you get money as a mayor or do you have to do the usual stuff like fish/bug catching, fruitselling? can you adjust taxes or something like that?
overall: does the game feel much different from the past ac games?
I played for an hour or so, true the shops are closed and most animals are asleep, but that didn't stop me from being stung by bees four times now lol.
I'll rest now, I'll go back to being the mayor of Monocot town in the morning!
Guys if what you're after is Friend Codes then there's a specific thread for that. I think we're trying to keep this thread on the discussion of the game.
My mom swung by Wallmart last night after work. so I played it until two A.M. Even though there was literally nothing to do after the tutorial part, It was still unbelievably fun!
How does the 3D look? Apparently it is one of the best games that uses it.
The 3D is honestly the best I've seen . Dare I say it is better than 3D land.It doesn't pop out a lot, but it has so much depth. It looks like you could just hop right in side. Also as a bonus the game looks fantastic in 2D.
