I've got one of these things to give me my portable retro gaming fix while I wait for the 3DS VC to catch up so I guess I'm less annoyed about the wait for Game Gear games than most. Actually, I'm finding myself playing Bomber Raid and Alex Kidd in Miracle World (neither of which are actually Game Gear games) while I fill in 5mins waiting for stuffs more often than iPod Touch games and 3DS games combined...........
edit: actually, I'd be happy if they delayed Game Gear games a bit longer if it meant I got Donkey Kong Land or Tetris/Dr Mario with multiplayer sooner

Well, when Nintendo launched Club Nintendo in 2008 they put it up on Virtual Console which is also connected to the DSiShop and eShop. With an update, they can finally connect all accounts together for downloads across all their platforms.
It's doable. All Nintendo needs to do is stop being reluctant about it. SNES games on the go would be amazing. Even if it means no remakes for FFVI and some other titles potentionally being remade for 3ds. Though, that didn't stop Cave Story 3D from happening.
Please finally release Earthbound on VC so I can play it on the go if it ever even happens.

The best solution would be a cross-platform deal, allowing 3DS/Wii owners to buy all workable VC games on either console (ie, no N64 games on 3DS VC), as well as allowing owners to transfer games to and from each console.

What needs fixing is the weak sauce low volume when using Headphones. I'm blown away that hardly anybody is complaining about this, but i'm guessung more than half of you guys don't even play with headphones.
The sound however coming out of the handheld seems loud enough to me, but I much prefer using headphones....And in this case, the sound is just too low which kind of makes the games seem less immersive and not so grand audio wise. There's no oompth or punch to it....

Maybe that has more to do with your headphones. I mean, I don't have any VC games yet but I do play using my headphones fairly regularly and I have no problem. I guess there is SOME volume adjustment required but that's not unusual for swapping between headphones and speakers and so I haven't noticed.
If anything the only problem I've had with sound on the 3DS is the ridiculously high volume of 3D Classics Excitebike compared to everything else...........

Nope, VC titles along with 3DS titles just don't sound loud enough, I've used a few different pairs of headphones and they all sound too low. And hear I thought the DS Lite's Headphone Volume wasn't loud enough. Hopefully Nintendo releases some sort of Firware update, but I'm guessing that will most likely never happen.

That would be an awesome idea! Imagine playing a NES title on the go and continuing the same game on a console!
Some of you are saying it worthless to have console games on the 3DS because they were not portable from the beginning; Nintendo is releasing NES games on the service next week so why not the rest of the console classics on SNES, Genesis, etc?
