Hello everyone, first post here. Nice to meet you all.
I recently purchased a US 3DS XL in the States, before flying back to the UK. And then found out that it had no charger in the box. My fault, should have researched that.
Now my question is this: Can I simply purchase a UK 3DS/3DS XL charger and use that for the US 3DS XL? I won't be leaving the UK again any time soon, if that matters.

Many thanks in advance for your help.
Well if you stay in the UK, then it should be fine. Keep in mind though that if you visit the US, you will need a US charger or adapter for US outlets

Isn't the 3DS region locked? If it is you might want to take note of that before buying any games here in the UK.
As for the charger - yes buying one from the UK should be fine.
You can use UK 3DS chargers for your console, however, as you most likely know, the outlets differ. So a North American 3DS Charger won't work on a UK outlet. So you just go to your local supermarket, and buy an outlet converter. Problem solved.
But the real thing you should have researched is that all 3DSes are Region locked. Meaning in order to play 3DS games on your North American 3DS, the games must be from North America, including eShop games.
@Kyloctopus - If he has an international credit card of some sort (even if it's like a reloadable prepaid one or something like that) he should be fine. Nintendo's been pushing retail downloads through the eShop a lot more, so importing shouldn't be as bad (though games like Virtue's Last Reward and Kid Icarus: Uprising will still need to be imported). That assumes he's cool with eShop retail downloads. If not, the charger may be the least of his concerns.
Thanks all for answering the question. I am in fact aware of region locking, but I intend to import most of my games. US releases 'tend' to come a little sooner, so I think a slight additional cost is worth it.
