I just wanted to share my 3DS experience in a bit more detail - I didn't know where else to post it and didn't dare start my own thread for fear of it being locked!

It is amazing. I was very impressed with the 3D display. I had a quick play on an AR target shooting game – it was incredible. At first I wasn’t convinced, but that quickly changed when the surface that the card was on started to open up, flip-over and bend like a trampoline. I don’t think I could get bored of that. I was told that Nintendo are planning to release other cards/AR games in the future. I had a quick mooch around the Home screen, I like the Wii-esque layout with 3D icons and stupid music. I also took a 3D picture which was very cool. All throughout the demo I was battling with HMVs horrible over-head strip lighting which seemed to distract my eyes enough to hinder the 3D effect for the most part. All that remains now is the torturous 18 day wait until launch and then I get my hands on a Cosmos Black and PilotWings Resort. Seriously though, the Sony NGP/PSP2 has nothing on this – portable PS3 with a rear touch panel? Pffffft ..

Gamestation Crewe
Gamestation Northwhich

These both have 3ds'. The Crewe one is aqua blue while Northwhich's is cosmos black. I have played them both and beat the staff at gamestation Northwhich' high score on face raiders. They had a big competition between each other all last week and I beat the top score and Saturday.
Happy Days.

Just got a phone call from GAME in Bournemouth saying they now have a 3DS as well. Which would've been nice of them if I hadn't been sat in the University library writing an essay at the time!

Game in Dewsbury have a black 3DS in stock. They have a sum total of zero games on it. Had a play with Face Raiders (wonder if they originally called it Face Invaders, but lost their nerve) which was more fun than I expected.

Don't know what all the fuss is about the blue model being 3 different shades of blue (or in some peoples' eyes, green), the black one is 3 different shades of grey, so they both look a little weird.
