Topic: A Couple Repair Questions

Hey everyone, I have a problem and I'm hoping people who had a similar problem can help me.

I recently discovered small scratches on my 3DS Touch Screen. They are in the center mostly, but they are tiny and don't hinder my gameplay in any way, but they do feel rather rough when I slide the stylus over them.

Anyway, my only option to get rid of the scratches is to send my system into Nintendo for repairs. I'm afraid to do that, however, because my 3DS is the Limited Edition Zelda 3DS, for one thing, and I don't want to lose any content such as Downloaded Games, Streetpass Plaza, or Activity Log, if they need to replace my system with a different one. When I sent my Wii in for repairs, they replaced my system entirely. It was a more severe problem, however.

My question is, if any of you have sent your 3DS in for scratch repair before, and if you have, did you receive the original system back? Thank you for reading.

I doubt they would repair this. It is purely cosmetic as you said, and doesn't hinder anything.

It's wear and tear.

I'm sure they would repair it, and it doesn't sound like it's such a terrible problem that it would warrant a complete system replacement (I should know, I sent my 3DS in for top-screen scratches a few months after launch and they didn't replace mine). Considering your situation, I wouldn't run the risk of losing a LE 3DS over a cosmetic issue that may or may not be covered under warranty.

Exactly.

They only change the 3DS if they can't repare it... Mine (new from the box and work just for the system transfert) was change because they didn't even have the chance to start it (at least that's what they say) and so I lost everythings that didn't save on the SD card... The only other probleme I've got from this is Agry Birds that won't let me update the leaderboard online because it's not the same 3DS (and Nintendo didn't do the system transfert)... And worst of it Activision don't seem to care about the problem so far....

Sorry if my english isn't good... At least I try :-)

I had my bottom screen get fixed just because Ninty felt like it when I sent it in for circle pad repairs, but I recieved my system back and it works flawlessly.

Ok, thanks for the replies, everyone.

I got screen protectors for the time being, if the screen ends up getting worse somehow I guess I'll need to repair it.
