Topic: 3DS/XL Hinge problems fixed?

In any case, here's the case itself:

And this is a (rubbish) picture of the 3DS' corner after being dropped, and having the case itself attached and removed:

As you can see, no damage whatsoever. Anything you see is probably just some 'lack of cleaning' particles.

I've never had problems with my Red 3DS XL hinge but a friend of mine is considering trading his Black XL in and getting a 2DS because he's annoyed that the hinge is loose on his XL. He also doesn't use the 3D effect. Although I don't know how common issues with 3DS hinges are in general.

Well the hinges are supposed to be loose on the 3dsxl even Nintendo States this under support faqs on the website. If it was tight like the ds lites were the issue would be drastically worse. So I'm not sure why that bothers him honestly that's the norm. Some of the initial units were overly tight if anything.

The circle pad on the 2DS feels so much smoother than mine (Demo unit I messed with in a store yesterday). Mine is not like that or my Circle Pad Pro one for that matter.
