So my 3DS is connected to my home wifi but when I try to play a DS game that is able to use wi-fi, like Animal Crossing Wild World, it doesn't work. I know the password is correct but it keeps saying that it isn't. Help!
P.S. I'm trying to find friends who still play Wild World
Actually it was the WFC that was hosted by a third-party group that went down.
Some games can still use the save-Nintendo-WiFi network hosted by fans, but normally require an action replay or a flash cart to do so.
But that wasn't the question being asked. The question was why couldn't he connect to the router, and that's because the only network security the DS can operate through is WEP security, which has fallen into disuse (most routers use WPA2 nowadays, which allows you to actually set your password instead of using a massive string of characters, and is far more secure too)
If you want your DS to connect you'll need to change the security to WEP, or make it an open network altogether and whitelist your devices, neither of which are very secure.
Stay safe, kids: Make sure to save frequently during multiplayer, and always use a stylus!
