This is one of my top favorite video games of all time. It brings back several memories indeed, playing it on the 3ds. The voice acting is redone but it actually sounds a better if not about the same. The graphics were amazingly redone. Zoness looks so much cooler now that Q-games got rid of that fake looking green slime toxic water and put in realistic looking stormy rain water. The controls are a little weird at first to get used to but eventually you get the hang of it. I fear that my older top score for Star fox 64 (which was way higher) will never be broken with my score for the 3ds, because the controls, while nice enough, do not allow for such flexibility as did the N64 controller. For example, the A button (or B if you use Type B controls) would be a lot easier to mash and pound during heated battle if Nintendo would have made it bigger than B, Y & X. Sometimes my thumb can slip off of the A button when trying to rapidly tap it very fast.
My highest score so far on the N64 version play mode (which I like better. More Nostalgic) is around 1400 something. Don't remember the exact number but I'll post it here later on when I get back to playing some more Star Fox. (I've been sharping my skills on MK7 most recently.)
I have never played the original version of Star Fox 64 cause at that time I was more into the Playstation. I have however played the 3DS version and with all the graphic advancements they made to the 3DS version I dont think I could enjoy the N64 version now.
