When purchasing a 3ds xl for my son this Christmas i was impressed with the offer of free game download. The game my son really wanted for Christmas was the Mario land one which is included in the free download offer.
On Christmas eve i opened the 3ds with the intention of downloading the game ready for "Santa" to deliver it. I logged on to the nintendo site and registered the device then went to the eshop to download the game when to my surprise and bitter disappointment after clicking on the game it says claim game between the first and 15th Jan 13! I was bouncing with this message as i was unable to buy the game until Boxing day when the big event had passed!
I have looked at all the adverts for the 3ds and have been unable to find anywhere it state "not available til after the 1st Jan!" Had this been clearly indicated then i would have purchased the game in advance!
THANK YOU NINTENDO FOR SPOILING ONE LADS CHRISTMAS!
If this was a marketing ploy to force people to buy for Christmas then i can tell you it worked!
( woiuld not be surprised uf the CEO is called Ebeneza!
@penderri: I'm not sure what advertisements or articles you read, but Nintendo's own website clearly states the dates and other restrictions of the offer. I'm sorry you were disappointed, but if you have any actual message for them, you'd probably be better served contacting them directly. Good luck to you!
