Even if the XL's PPI is substandard for playing 3DS original software, the larger screens really are easier on the eyes when playing a NES or 1:1Gameboy game, for example. This is the only reason why i bothered even hanging on to my XL.....Until i sold it weeks later. retail 3DS games just looked crisper/clearer on the original 3DS, plus the 6th brightness setting which is unlocked by using the charger adapter makes a world of a difference and makes the 5th brightness(it can't get the 6th) of the XL look abnormally dim in comparison, whites look dull and the colors aren't as vibrant ect. PLUS i absolutely love the look of the Aqua Blue 3DS, it screams next gen. I love it's sleek 80's multicolored cake design + Man-sparkles(tee hee!) where as the XL looks truely uninspired, as if it belongs to the Dsi family. If anything, it's more comfortable, more functional and to the point....Where as the original 3DS's telescopic stylus is clunky to extend and it's awkward placement doesn't help either. Sure, the XL's big screens are awesome and all, but not if i'm sacrificing picture quality in terms of crisp/clearness and Brightness. I did several comparisons between the two and the XL's picture quality just wasn't as impressive. The original 3DS has a better desgin imo and picture quality which is a fact jack.
