While they don't seem to be too far the protruding sticks seem like they be a problem for pockets.
I saw your post in the other thread and I agree, they might not be the best for dress slacks or even "skinny jeans". I wear cargos and carpenters mostly so I'm good!
The more I think about it, the more I realize that I just have too many gaming systems and games and I just don't have the time available to give them the attention that they all probably deserve. Handhelds get the least attention because I don't really have the opportunity to play with them unless I'm at home, but when I'm at home I'd rather play on the consoles. Because of this, I'm starting to wonder if I really need my 3DS or need to order a Vita at all.
Not trying to troll here, but this IS a forum for the 3DS on a Nintendo fan site. It should be easily apparent which one is going to be voted for more. Plus, as someone said, it's not even out yet. But I will add my two bits anyways.
While my first home console was a PS2, my first system at all was a GBA. I, like many here, grew up on that. Nothing Sony ever put out, barring Metal Gear Solid and maybe LittleBigPlanet, has ever caught my attention. Almost everything that Nintendo does, on the other hand, catches my eye immediately. Plus, it has an analog pad, and soon to be two. That is all I ever wanted. The Vita may have them too, but the way it's laid out just makes it seem like a PS controller with a screen in the middle. And frankly, I never liked Sony's controllers. Then there is 3D vs. HD. 3D makes a huge change that actually affects gameplay. HD just makes it look prettier, which 3D still does. And the Vita has a second touch screen on the back... I can't think of anything that could be useful for, except for that game where you roll the ball around. The second screen is what made the DS a success in my opinion. You could go through menus without even pausing the action. Look how that helped out Ocarina of Time. Oh, that water temple....
Nintendo - Where even first person shooters ooze creativity.
I'm super excited about PlayStation Vita after taking it for a spin back at E3 in June. I'll have mine in about 2 weeks, so I'll let you know how I like it then.
Having said that, I love and will always love Nintendo first-party franchises, so the 3DS is still one of my favorite systems and given some of the games coming for it in 2012, there's a lot to be excited for.
Vita: It has games I want to play within the first year of its release.
Heck, the Vita has 4 launch titles that I want, which I certainly couldn't say for the 3DS. Two of them are Sequels to successful franchises being handled by competant developers. This is going to be one hell of a system.
im hoping they put monster hunter on the ps vita, i plan on buying one, but if monster hunter comes out, its an instant buy for me
