3DS, because it's basically everything DSi is, plus more.
The only benefit to the DSi, is if you plan on buying tons of DSi games, which are limited to the system on 3DS(can't use SD card for DSi games). They could be working on a DSi game fix, but it seems that it would have already been out by now, and most game devs have already moved on to the 3DS eShop.

Same here. It's just better. More reliable buttons, much better online + graphics, etc.

3DS, especially with all the great games that have already come out for 3ds or will be coming out soon. I'd be a sad panda if I couldn't play those.

Never thought I'd love the pink/white 3DS XL ♥

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

The only reason I still use my DSi XL is because of Flipnote Studio, but the DSiware version's online service is gonna close down in..............5 days after this post, and Flipnote Studio will return on the 3DS, in swell 3D, with a new online service (Goodbye Hatena, i'm glad that I was able to win every weekly topic I've ever entered and make people laugh and other stuff)

Also the circle pad works great for DS games.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

A reason why I switched was the L and R buttons it was annoying the 3ds can multitask which is a good point of interest.

I play MK7 alot.

The 3DS is better. It's no contest. Really, I'd like to hear why somebody thinks the DSi is better.

The reason I stated was that you can't store DSi games on an SD card on a 3DS. That's the only benefit I can think of for having a DSi, but Nintendo will probably change that in due time.
I wasn't too fond of the DSi DLC games to be honest. I got the DSi on launch in order to download the games they had, but I found the games available were pretty lackluster.
My guess is that they had info that no one was really playing GBA anymore, so they converted GBA BC into an app store.

I suppose the DSi probably had better battery life... but even that isn't really that big of a deal. The inability to play DSi games from the SD card will probably never affect me, because they're aren't enough good DSiWARE games that interest me, so I probably won't ever fill up the space enough for that to be an issue.

3DS, really there is no reason to get a DSi now

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

the reason people thing the dsi is better is because they dont realize the 3ds is a new generation handheld the main problem is that its called the 3"DS" so people think its just an upgrade and that all they added was a 3d effect to games (which would be super lame because love 3d) when the real reason to buy the system is because it is overall better

Only reason i'd prefer a DSi is the slimmer matte chassis and rectangle feel.

But 3DS > DSi

I was not interested in any DS. Went directly to 3DS and love it. And I can play the DS games on it too. Perfect console.
