Didnt see a thread on this, figured Id see what you guys thought about this.

What do you think games will cost on the 3DS VC? $3? $5?

Hmmm well for Gameboy games I guess 3-5 would be reasonable.

Probably the same price as NES or SNES games.
I really don't see things like Super Mario Land, Pokemon or Link's Awakening only being $3.

Hoping for 3$ (or 3€ here). Better games could be 5$, I could waste even more money to get old Pokémon games.
And if GBA games will become available, they could be 6-8$ and again better games could be even 10$ and I would still pay it (games like Pokémon, Metroids, Marios (especially Superstar Saga), Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy).

It's its, not it's.

I'm guessing it will be similar to Wii
Game Boy/Game Boy Color : $5
Game Gear : $5
Turbografx-16 : $6
Game Boy Advance (If it comes) : $8

I'm hoping for:

GameBoy: $3.99
GameBoy Color: $4.99
GameBoy Advance: $7.99

Most of the original GB games weren't very high quality IMHO, and generally under the quality of the NES, so I'd expect them to be a little cheaper. And yes, they're going to be $X.99, since the eShop won't use Nintendo Points.

I'm hoping for:

Games to actually be released on it. Unlike the Wii VC, which is being drip-fed the minimum nutrients needed for survivial.

eh they may do sort of how they did the Nes/Snes for the Wii console for Gameboy/Gameboy color.

Gameboy = $5
Gameboy Color = $8
and maybe
Gameboy advance = $10

Thats what I think also. But, if they add NES, I think it would be about $6 and SNES would probably be about the same as GBC.

I don't have high hopes but 3-4 for GB and 5-6 for GBC would be fine....But I fear it will be 5 and 7. _ If that happens I have to seriously think about it since my Advance SP plays all the Game Boy games I can get on ebay for a buck.

GB - $5
GBC - $6
GBA - $8
GG - $5 or $6.
Turbografix 16 - Same as on Wii ($8?).

Reasonably, I think regular GB games should be $4 (given that G&W are $2 and NES are $5 this seems more fair). However, I think Nintendo will gouge us out of that extra $. And I will buy them anyway, because I am a good little consumer. le sigh.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

I'd be unlikely to pay more than $3 for an old 2-bit colour GB game unless they give us better colour palette options than the GBC had (especially since I still have my game cartridges). I'd pay $5 for a GBC game and $8 for a GBA game.

GBA (if it comes) 8 to 10 dollars
game gear: a solid $3
GBC: $6
GB: $5

Much like pixelman i'd find the following prices reasonable:

  • GameBoy: $4€
  • GameBoy Color: $5€
  • GameGear: $5€
  • GameBoy Advance: $8€
  • Turbografix 16: $8€.

Judging from how Nintendo handled VC on the Wii. It'll cost too much and offer too little.

Let's all hope for change!

Now I know how they like to stress the importance of value. So why not give the big GB games at the higher price point and the games that offer less (such as less content etc.) at a lower price point.

Very similar to what Late said, I hope that's what they do.

True. I forgot that they were going to maybe add those (and make them 3d support or something?) I don't know.
and yeah I understand how some people say it's expensive for old games with little content. but honestly most GBC games had more content than Snes games did (well maybe only a few) and the fact that these games (that nintendo will add) now cost upwards of $20.00 (without the package and booklet and such)

So in the end $8 (or whatever it will be) is totally worth it for the GBC games
Zelda Oracle series, Mario games, pokemon etc.

Gameboy $3-5

Then the 3D Classics, which I'm guessing it's $8. I heard that it's 3D NES and SNES games. Is this true?
