This happens all the time.
ios 5 was delayed
Xbox metro interface was delayed
most android releases are delayed.

If you complain about this happening again it just shows how ignorant you are on the subject.

I dont want a glitchy update, thats why I would choose right now for the delay, but they should plan for last minute glitches, and like I said if it was just this once it would be fine, but Nintendo do it a lot. I'm not saying Nintendo are being too slow - I'm jut saying they should stop setting unrealistic expectations for themselves, especially as it just lets down fans.

First off, so does everyone else. Like others have said, delays happen all the time.

Next, sometimes you can't control whether or not something will go 100% smoothly. Sometimes unexpected occurrences happen at the last minute that may interfere with your plans, so you can't plan ahead enough to cover all your bases. Think of those situations where you planned to do something at a certain time and something unexpected happened to delay your schedule. This situation is probably similar.

Fans also wanted to know the date as soon as possible, so Nintendo gave them a relative date. If they feel that it's necessary to delay, then so be it. They probably have good reason to do so. Also keep in mind that they are humans too, so they make mistakes like we do.

Nothing, which is why fans need to learn some patience.

I don't care about the update; I just hope the GBA games come on the same day.

It was rhetorical not a complaint, the whole point is that statements of dates have been made, even to the point of an advert being made and yet the dates get changed so there is no reason why we should even accept the 8th as a date.
