Yep, apparently the updater for the mii plaza was broken with 10.0.0-27U.

I updated 3 3DSs (1 normal UK 3DS, one US 3DS XL and a UK New 3DS) and a UK 2DS without any obvious issues.

I wonder why some people seem to be affected and others not?
