Guys, Bart Smit estimated the price and release date, they already said that. I was shocked when I saw the price and release date but it was just a guess so people that pre-order it would know when they get it and what it will cost them approximately.

I have even more evidence that the release date is not true. It is a Dutch online shop, so the region is EU. Nintendo releases everything in the EU on a Friday. March the 15th is a Tuesday.

I wouldn't trust anything until the 29th. $200 sounds reasonable, but the release date is off because since it's obviously from the EU the release date will be different over here in NA. March is still the most likely month for it to be released though. I think Reggie said it's supposed to be out by then.

This "confirmation" as far as the price goes seems like another one of those "let's speculate on what the most logical price point will be so when it really is confirmed we can pretend like we know what we're talking about."

And i too still expect it to see a holiday-window launch date, unless there's some specific reason why yhey can't get it out by then (tech issues, launch games not ready, etc).

I've got to go with the skeptics here. Don't go getting excited until you hear something concrete from Nintendo.

That price sounds good but i'm fairly confident in a 2010 launch window for the 3DS. My main reason for thinking this is, why would Nintendo hype up September 29th as the big day that the 3DS's launch and price are going to be revealed if it will ultimately be disapointing news? If it were truly coming out next year, something that would be very sad indeed, Nintendo would likely just release that information on a random day quietly over the internet. I pray Nintendo proves me right in 23 days.

I've got a feeling they would piss retailers off if Nintendo suddenly announced it was coming before the end of this year.

Don't whine about release dates, guys. My birthday is February 13, but you don't see me complaining. I'm just going to wait until the official confirmation. Although what you have said is probably accurate.

$200 is a reasonable price if the rumor is true, although I'm hoping the 3DS is released before March [hopefully this year].

Don't get me wrong, having the 3DS released this year would've been great, but if they were going to do that they would have built up the marketing and information on games such as Kid Icarus would be coming out steadily in magazines and at least be advertised. Right now there's hardly been any new information on any 3DS game right now, and that tells me something. I wouldn't want Nintendo to rush a game and put advertising up right before putting it stores. The games need to be as developed and improved as much as possible.
