Hmmm? What do you guys think, Just over 200 dollars. While this is just a rumor, I think that it will end up being $224.95 for the US, but who knows at this point. Also it says the rumor for that release is March 15th, 2011
To each his own.

Well the DSi was 170€ when it came out, too so I think it'll be more expensive. But the price was in Euros and you can't directly convert it because North America always gets stuff cheaper.
Probably getting a Vita with LBP soon...

I thank you for that Roopa132. I'm quite certain that the Nintendo 3DS will cost no more than $199.99 here in the United States.

Yea I am all for it being lower lol, no doubt! I hope i am wrong in thinking 224.95, 199 would be amazing.

I'm just hoping "lower in cost" doesn't mean "lower in quality."

EB Games Australia has it at $350, which at the moment is $100 more than an Xbox

I hope it comes out before the last day of Feb. Unless it's a leap year, I don't remember, if it is then before the second to last day of February. Probably not gonna happen, though.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I doubt it will be that high. Unless you are talking about the original Xbox.
9. Posted: Thu 1st Jul 2010 03:28 BST
I think the price will be about 250 USDs, but that's only an estimate.

@RandomWiiPlayer: He's talking Australian dollars, which are worth a good bit less than American ones. Even so, it's ridiculous for a handheld to cost more than a current-gen console...no way America will have that problem unless 360 gets a price drop, so why Australia? Oh, right...their entire gaming situation sucks.

ign is convinced it'll be $200 or less: http://ds.ign.com/articles/110/1103651p1.htmlthat's also a really good read about how the 3DS works in general.
"In North America, the Nintendo DS Lite is currently $129.99, the DSi is currently $169.99, and the DSi XL is $189.99. To remain competitive, expect the cost of the 3DS to fall under $200 in the US, with the current generation of handhelds to receive price drops in preparation of the 3DS arrival."

£140 would be nice, but it seems unlikely. I'd say £160-£180.

Well, not really when you consider that handheld capabilites are getting ever closer to the home consoles and that the 3DS will be newer than the current home consoles . If you set much stock by 3D (not something I personally consider that important though) then it makes even more sense.
Not that I want it to be expensive, I'm just saying is all.
