A few months ago I unfortunately decided to download an online copy of Super Smash Bros 3DS. I didn't realise at the time that this would take up my entire 2GB SD card. I have searched the internet for a method of exchanging my old SD card to a new bigger one but I can't find any way that actually works. I have a 4GB SD card ready and I am hoping to not have to lose my data from my old SD card. Is there any way I can swap over the data and use it on my 3DS?
I somewhat recall the steps to setting up an SD card, including formatting, needing to be done in a certain order or the 3DS won't read the new card correctly.
I know I had that problem when I swapped out the factory-installed card on my system.
I think you need to format the card on a PC, then insert the card in a 3DS and let it format its folders, and then it's good to copy the data from the old card?
@KingMike: I figured it out tahnk you, turns out what I've always done wrong is I've accidently been keeping an extra file in my new SD card that was never meant to be there. It finally works thanks a lot.
