Want to see if ill have time to Download it during lunch to play on my bus ride home from class.
no dont know shingi sorry. But i can imagine maybe not more than 400 ? I hope so .... As of now probably the demo gets release yesterday so will check on thursday if any demo will show up.
For now nice conversation is going on. I keep Revelations on suprising me so the shocking is more intense So i wont rush the game and am probably bit late for the raid mode. But the really though question is as to start with 1rst person view or 3thrd person view ?! Any ideas ? I could imagine the shocking is more intense in the first person view, but then maybe the controlling of character is harder .... Maybe mixture would be coolest -> in movement having third person view and as soon as you push R for aiming it changes again in first person view. hum ...
LOL thanks. I guess I'm expecting the wrong kind of tails/tales!
I take it you didn't know it was part of a series then. Its part of the long running Tales series and Tales of the abyss is the eigth mothership title (mothership title=main series, escort title=spin-off) and the original PS2 version was released for the series' 10th anniversary and Tales of Xillia (the 13th mothership title) was released in Japan last year in September for the 15th anniversary of the series. Its not surprising that you haven't heard of the series as they don't always get released outside of Japan unfortunately. The most well-known games in the series (apart from TotA) are Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia.
@Stereoman Sorry, I probably should've said something on-topic as well. When I get Resident evil: revelations, I'll definitely play in third person view like all the other games in the series. I don't mean that I've played all the games in the series but would rather play the same way that you do in other games in the series. First-person doesn't really suit RE IMO.
i am pretty excited to play this game, because it is one of the first games to use the circle pad pro. i hope i dont need it to properly play those games
5 month void of nothing before e3? What about Kid Icarus: uprising, Rhythm thief and the emperor's treasure, (it may not have a release date yet but it sounds like it will be out before e3) Metal gear solid: snake eater 3D and Rayman origins?
i'm not too crazy about any of those games except metal gear, which i'm not buying until it gets cheaper. maybe i should look more into kid icarus, but for now with the wii dead RE is the only game on the horizon for me!
i assume the demo will be huge. the videos alone are 2-300 blocks, a playable demo will probably eat your sd card alive.
@Waveboy I guess theres a chance of seeing Luigi's mansion 2 before e3 but I highly doubt that we'll see Paper Mario 3DS before e3 when so little has been revealed about it.

now i can confirm the demo is somehow big ... The RE demo is exactly 1153 blocks for you all who wanted to know. Just downloaded it now but havent tried. So will post later when i got some impressions
Just played the Demo, man this game sux... this has no scary feeling like the good ol' Resident Evil's (0-3 + CV)... just booring enemies with bad aiming... don't know how it plays with CPP Controls, but normal controls are really clunky... Feels like those Resi 4 and 5 games and not like the "real thing". Even the Wii Lightgunshooters were scary than this...
grafics are ok, but far from awesome. I think I'll pass on this one. I am happy I haven't preordered this...
Crapcom at it's finest... Making mediocre overhyped games...
As a big fan of the "real" Resident Evil, I am really disappointed with this boring mediocre game...
definatly scary i walked into a bathroom and there was a huge bang in the room beside me then i walked into the room and some thing came out the wardrobe then later on a zombie fell from the roof and made me jump as hell then i got killed on some stairs
i am hades true leader of the underworld. i must bid you ado
I have never considered any RE game besides the first that scary. You all Remember the Demon dogs that come bursting through the hallway windows in RE 1? Yeah that made me poop myself. Other than that I've never been exactly horrified by this series. The Scary part is usually when some monster comes at you and you're low on health or ammo. Nemesis was a pretty good reason to run like hell but not because he was scary. It's because he wants to kill you duh. Plus he has a big damn bazooka!

So the game is overall boring and mediocre? And you're basing this off of an old 3 minute demo? You should be comparing this to RE4 & RE5, not the traditional RE games....Which are pretty different, not to mention extremely dated and Prehistoric & bare bones in the combat department in this day and age at least after experiencing RE4. Now I'm a big RE nut, but you'll never get me to play through RE1-3(Cannot stand VC for the life of me) again...That would be pure torture, especially RE2.
Besides, those games aren't even scary. Although the first one was for the time. But the rest gradually dropped the ball one by one until the Remake and Zero reared their head.
Anyways, I'll be playing the demo later tonight. I 'know' this game is going to blow RE5 out of the water. And while I completley and utterly freaking loved the Pointer controls in RE4: wii edition i'll have to settle for analog aiming in revelations....But does the slider work as well in comparison to the Cube's analog stick for aiming? or is it clunkier?
Yeah that is my opinion from the demo... I love the old Resident Evils and think 4 is good but becomes boring after awhile, 5 just bored me to death...
I would rather play any oldschool Resident Evil than the new ones... they are boring for me... The demo just felt like these cheap not-scary haunted houses on a fair. I didn't catch any atmosphere of the older ones...
The controls are not spot on. I couldn't aim 1to1... more like moving the pointer with less precision... when I use the Circle pad it should be one spot at a time and not blocky...
Maybe the controls are better in the finished game and the game will be about more than scanning the enviroment for items and shooting boring monsters... but the gameplay in the demo was just boring... the puzzle in the beginning didn't need your brain, way to simple to solve it...
This game is real good. First time I ever played it (through the demo). Can't wait for the final game to be in my 3DS
Last RE I played was 4 and that was at Gamestop. I jumped like 5 times playing that demo lol sometimes startled when someone opened the door behind me.
I always seem to put myself in a corner in the game
And I'm sooo hesitant on opening doors because I always think something is going to attack me- but when I do think that, nothing does. It's only when I open the door without much worry do I get a surprise attack.
I just spent some time with the Demo and I think it's rather good. The controls work fine for me and they aren't clunky at all. Feels just the same as it did on the REmake with a splash of RE4 thrown in. Aiming is really easy too. I had no trouble pulling off headshots. The graphics look just about as good as the Gamecube RE's so pretty impressive considering this is a handheld. Not sure if I'll buy this on day one but It's going on my list of games I plan to buy.

i really liked the demo. Normal difficulty is to get a vibe and look at the gorgeous environment. But for the creeps really try the Hell difficulty. There i jumped several times especially at the end at a certain door just few minutes before the cutscene .... The scarce ammo really feels like RE1 oldschool days and the mansion looks like it
