If you do happen to get the 3DS XL from GAME or Gamestation on Friday, I would suggest taking advantage of their reward card scheme.
As far as I'm aware the cards are STILL free and are supposed to get you a 2.5% return on all purchases.
If you're going to get the 3DS XL, and maybe a game like Art Academy 3D or Pokémon Conquest (same day!), or maybe some accessories like a travel-case or if you desire the charging cradle, well it all adds up.
Even the system alone should net you a tidy discount which can be used to get a eShop card for much cheaper than normal, say like, a £15 card for less than £10.

The only stipulation is you can't spend your points on the day you get them, that's all really.

Should be a good way to make a saving on the eShop.

Huzzah! Went in (again) to pre-order Pokémon Conquest, Black 2 and White 2, asked my friend if anything had changed with regards to the 3DS XL and he said that they only just got the email today saying that they are indeed starting to sell it on Friday 27th =D This makes me VERY happy because I really didn't want to work 1800-0000 Friday night and then have to get up early to pick it up Saturday pewpew

Well, this pretty much confirmed it. Just got this e-mail from GAME:

My store hasn't advertised any bundles over the week but they always tend to put the signs up for the actual launch day. On GAME's website, they have a 3DSXL with Heroes of Ruin for £195 http://www.game.co.uk/en/nintendo-3ds-xl-blue-with-heroes-of-... so maybe, just maybe, we'll see the same thing in-store =]

As promised here is my update.

GAME did not get the wifi sorted but allowed me to buy my 3ds Xl with charger included for £179.99. Take it away to do the system transfer and then bring my old 3ds back for a £100 refund.

This also allowed me to use the £10 off a £100+ spend so today I paid £44.99 (as I had paid my £20 deposit and traded in my cpp for £5)

Doing my system transfer now. The little Pikmin are working hard! Lol

There were some bundles instore. They didnt seem to appealing to myself. I think the main one was 1 of either mario land, kid icuras, mario kart and another title I can't remember plus a 3ds Xl + charger for £209.99. The other bundle was slightly cheaper, maybe by a tenner and the games choice were all Lego ones.

The £199.99 bundle consisted of LEGO Batman 2, LEGO Harry Potter 5-7, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics or Rayman Origins. The fourth game in the £210 bundle was Kingdom Hearts 3D. So, unfortunately for a5paragu5, no Heroes of Ruin =[

EDIT: Sahweet! I also picked up some Kid Icarus cards and the last card in my third and final pack was Pit (Rally Cry) which is a Diamond Rare card =D (1 in every 67 packets)

I grabbed my 3DS XL this morning too.
Went with a coin-flip to decide on the colour, Heads for Silver, Tails for Blue. I got Heads so Silver it was. No regrets once I unboxed the thing.
I bought it along with Pokémon Conquest and Art Academy 3D, looking forward to both of these.

With all the money I spent I've now got over £8 of reward points to redeem (it was over £3 prior), and for the console purchase I also got a £10 voucher.
I'm totally grabbing a discounted £25 eShop voucher tomorrow, when the reward points are redeemable.

Good reasons to buy the thing at game! They even included an AC adapter for free. It might only be for pre-orders or at launch though.

Think you'll be playing Pokémon Conquest 1:1 or full screen?
I'll probably be playing it 1:1 as I don't much care for how DS games upscale.

Gameboy games are fine though because they are low enough resolution to look fine upscaled that much.

I always tend to play DS games full screen because of the limited touch screen space in 1:1 so =P Also, fancy swapping friend codes?

On the 3DS XL where the DS games appear the same size as on a DSi in 1:1 display, I think that'll be less of an issue for sure.

I'd like to swap friend codes but I have friends from other sites so it's probably a bad idea.

I went back with my 3DS to get my £100 back. It all went through, no problems. Spent my £10 voucher on a £15 eshop card whilst I was there That was a nice bonus. Got around £12 on my GAME card too now

I think all of the 3DS colours were ok, when you have the unit open they are all black on the inside anyway so it doesn't really matter

I can't really fault GAME for this trade in. Obviously it has cost me more money but they gave a very good value for my old 3DS, threw in a charger, gave a few money off vouchers and it all went quite easy I don't think there was a better deal around for those wanting rid of there old 3DS.

I know its naughty to say but I love my 3DS XL more than my old 3DS already

I'm personally going to keep ahold of my old 3DS, I'm still quite attached to it, plus it has the benefit of letting anybody take part in some multiplayer fun now with my spare 3DS system.
I doubt they would take it anyway however, the touch-screen has become inaccurate, and the serial number sticker has peeled away from over a thousand hours of use. That was a big part of why I wanted a new 3DS system, a working touch-screen. 3DS XL with bigger touchscreen for drawing in Colors 3D and Art Academy? Yes please!

But more than that, I can now get lots and LOTS of streetpass gems with the spare 3DS running. A single game with two 3DS systems can get two weapon gems duplicated with each transmission, and I hear these transmissions are allowed to occur once every 8 hours.

I have 8 Pits (Rally Cry) from Nintendo Unleashed. TOO MANY!

Whats this £10 voucher your all talking about ive just came home and done the system transfer having bought my XL from GAME ? Can anyone post a photo of this voucher so i can go into GAME and get mine when i trade in my 3DS tomorrow.
