I'll admit, If I could only recommend 3DS Mario games, 3D Land would be my choice. I found it boring as heck, but that's just because I felt it was too straight-forward for a 3D Mario game. As a 2D Mario in 3D, it works, and I can see why others enjoyed it more than I did, seeing as I generally dislike most 2D Mario games.

Thanks guys. I'm unacquainted with Bower's Inside Story but will make sure to research it later! Right now, I'm undecided between NSMB 2 and 3D Land.

3D Land - Longer campaign, better 3D effect (hard to judge graphics), feels less like a rehash, more like the bridge between 2D and 3D Mario.
NSMB2 - Much, MUCH more replay value, includes multiplayer and DLC

Your choice.

This. 3D Land is easily the better choice.

3D Land and NSMB2 were just good in my opinion. 3D Land while creative and is an extremely easy game apart from the final few special worlds and last level, and NSMB2 while also fun and a bit harder (not by much), is frankly very unmemorable to me due to it being very similar to the previous NSMB games. While coin rush is a plus, you can easily find the infinite coin exploits. If I had to choose one, it would be 3D Land, but there are still many better games out there for the 3DS.

3D Land is an acceptable choice. Might be worth getting to see the 3D get some real good use.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 better be happening! In the meanwhile though, here's a fun little Let's Play of the original. Think you'll like the game if you like Zelda!

I found 3D Land boring as well. It just didn't have the same wow factor 64, Sunshine, or Galaxy had.

I might be the minority here but I like NSMB2 over SM3DL but for one thing I never played any other NSMB game other than the Wii one so I am not as bored with that series as others and also I prefer my Mario games 2D. Still 3DLand is a good game I just found it easier than that NSMB2 and shorter as well.

I honestly find the NSMB games stale compared to the older 2D Mario games; particularly Super Mario Bros. 3. I feel like the new games just lack the imagination that the older ones did both in gameplay and in visuals.

If you want a 3DS (or DS) Mario platformer, definitely go for 3D Land.
Ever since Super Mario 64, 3D has been the way to go for Mario platformers.
The NSMB games are just so boring in comparison.

I wouldn't get NSMB 2 if difficulty is what you're looking for (I found it even easier than 3D Land)..

I make Pixel Art on occasion, and sometimes sell them as Game Assets.

I see Ridge Racer 3D online for a cheap 18 bucks, and I wonder if it's worth it...do you guys think it's worth it?

If you haven't I suggest trying the demo for MoF. Some people seem to enjoy the game others not so much. The level design is similar to the metroidvania style used in the GBA and DS castlevanias but gameplay wise it plays a bit like God of War.

As far as which one to get it all depends on how much you want to spend you can probably find CoP cheaper than MoF used. But I would go with MoF but thats just cause I like Castlevania more.

Mirror of Fate is better for the single-player campaign, but Code of Princess has a lot of replay value if you like online or local multiplayer.

Although, as Tasuki said, try the demo of MoF first. It's not like a traditional Castlevania game ocntrol-wise.

I'm looking for something $28 or below at GameStop. Thus, I'm looking at Tales of the Abyss. Any better games you can think of?
