Kind of new to 3ds, which should be the next game?
I bought a 2ds for my daughter to christmas and had the chance of a buy 3 games pay for 2 at a store. Picked up Animal Crossing and Pokemon Ruby for my daughter, and the 3rd game I decided to choose for myself, to try out if the 3ds has good games at all. I choosed Fire Emblem Awakening, since it has got so good comments here from nintendolife and I'm also interested in RPG's anyway.
So after the announcement of New 3ds and MH4U, I decided to pick up the console for myself, I've been digging down to 200 Hrs till finally geting bored of MH.
Since I enjoyed Fire Emblem that much, I also decided to buy some Fire Emblem Amiibos and to get Code Name STEAM, now I'm almost done with that game aswell.
Super Smash Bros and NSMB2 I got aswell. And ALBW + MH3U I got through the Club Nintendo Winter campaign.
Since there is quite a while till the next good 3ds games comes out.
Which game from the older ones should now be my next? Don't want to miss out on anything great
I'm tending to Kid Icarus Uprising, bcuz of the good comments from nintendolife community (Would be a new franschise to me, and a new great experience if ofc appealing),
and to Bravely Default (But bcuz of all negative comments of endless grinding, I doubt the game is that great to deal with both titles Bravely Default and Second, then I might just wait for Second to come out). Although I enjoy RPGs, been playing Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii and Golden Sun for GBA back in the days for example. Or maybe should another great RPG for 3ds be the next? Any suggestions?
For my daugther, for our next vacationtrip, I guess I'll be geting Luigis Mansion 2 (Never had a Gamecube, but the graphics looks nice and the game seems to get well praised here on this community, also will be a new gaming experience to me if I try it out). Have been considering Kirby or Pokemon X/Y although.

Getting Luigis Mansion: Dark Moon for daughter
I'm also interested in RPG's [Among others]
I'm tending to Kid Icarus Uprising and to Bravely Default (But hesitant due to grinding and sequel on the way).
Have been considering Kirby Triple Trouble or Pokemon X/Y
I decided to cut the post down to the most pertinant information for easier processing. (I'm not that good at skimming...)
Anyways, as far as RPGs go, I highly recommend checking out Etrian Odyssey 4 and Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl. They both have extensive demoes, so you can decide whether or not you like them before you even have to spend money. They are kind of grind-heavy, especially EO4, but not as much as their predecessors. But I think it's better if you try it yourself.
I'm sure others will recommend Shin Megami Tensei IV, and I probably would too if I didn't feel the default difficulty was a little high at the beginning. I feel it's a little abrasive to newcomers (then again, I've played 5 SMT games before extensively, and I still got hammered), but once you know what to do, it gets a lot easier. I believe you can adjust the difficulty at any time as well, so you can always switch to easy for a while if you're having a tough time.
Bravely Default is easily one of the best RPGs I've played in years, despite some greivances with the last third or so of the adventure. It also has a demo, that, while not a very good representation of the game, at least gives you an idea of what the class system and battle system are like, which are very much the stars of the show, so to speak.
I quite enjoyed Pokemon X. Some would say it's difficult to go back to after Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, but I think the world design and choice of pokemon were among the best in the series, and the story had its fair share of surprises, so it might be worth looking into.
EDIT: I almost forgot Tales of the Abyss 3D and Fantasy Life! Tales is a great action RPG series, and Abyss has the best story out of all of them (though admittedly it takes a long time to get good, if only because the main character requires a lot of growing before he stops being a jerk), while still having really good combat on top of that.
Fantasy Life, while not living up to its original promise, is still a very charming game. The world, characters, art style, and story just repeatedly impressed me as the game went on, though I'm sure a lot of that came down to low expectations. The real star of the show is the combat and the various classes you can play as. I personally felt it could've used more variety and depth there, but that didn't stop me from putting in 60 hours, and that was just scratching the surface...
As for Kid Icarus: Uprising, if you can find it for a good price (or buy it digitally), I recommend it. Definitely make sure you fiddle with the controls before you play, though. It's one of those games where the default control settings aren't going to suit everybody.
And as for other games, if you don't have Dokey Kong Country Returns on the Wii, I recommend the 3DS version quite a bit. Story of Seasons is a great sim that your daughter might enjoy, while Rune Factory 4 adds RPG elements to the formula, which might interest you more. Just some food for thought, it'd definitely require some research before you buy (which you seem to do, and I appreciate that).
Well, @CanisWolfred pretty much covered all the bases, although I will also recommend Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, as it is easily one of the best story-driven games I've ever played. It's a visual novel/puzzle game hybrid, though, so prepare for a lot of reading.
For any TRPG fan, I can easily recommend Fire Emblem: Awakening. Easily one of my all time favorites.
@Doge: I don't get how people can like that game so much...... . Me personally, its more of a disappointment than being a true paper mario game. Hopefully, Paper Jam gets it right.
I like Sticker Star. I like that it tried something new instead of sticking to the same old formula. Paper Jam is doing the same thing by melding Paper Mario with Mario & Luigi gameplay. I just wish I didn't have to wait until Spring 2016 to play Paper Jam.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
I'm also on the it's good bandwagon. It was so fun collecting the different stickers and I fought every enemy I found. Some things were a bit hard though and not so fun like not having the right sticker for the right event but overall I thought it was a solid game.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
For those of you who have completed a Link Between Worlds, would I need to use guide to find out where to go, what to do etc? The only other Zelda game I've finshed is Majoras Mask and I loved it, but I used a guide the whole way through.
for me I used the guide. I am not that good at Zelda games but this one looked fun so I bought the guide to help me out. I hate not knowing what to do next in games.

I never use a guide and consider myself a Zelda expert but A Link Between Worlds is easy even by normal games standards. Still you might want to take the advice of @Pokefanmum82 as she seems more inline with what you want to hear.

No. Besides, the open design of the world is what makes it so fun. Why would you want to spoil it by following a guide, thus setting yourself to an unnecessarily strict path?
Alright thanks guys, and I see what @CanisWolfred means, as using a guide would probably spoil some of the fun. But If I get stuck i guess i could use a guide like what @Pokefanmum82 said.

Honestly, I get lost in Final Fantasy X's straight line maps, yet I only got stuck twice in A Link Between Worlds (and the second time was just because I didn't know the range of the light arrows). I think you'll probably do fine.

@VoltageX: I got a lot more out of P&D compared to Lord of Magna. I have like 80+hrs into P&D and I haven't even touched the Mario side yet, you could beat the story of Lord of Magna in 15hrs. I did enjoy my time with Lord of Magna and there Is always new game+ that I haven't done yet. If I where to pick one though I would go for P&D.

thanks for the advice =]
how are the RPG elements in P&D? Does it feel like battling in an RPG game alongside with the concept of gameplay similar to pokemon shuffle and other jewel games?
@Artwark: Do you use the 3d feature? It looks a bit better on the Wii but it might also be more expensive there too. You must also ask yourself so you like the small screen over the big one. Content wise you would be missing nothing.
Also if you feel the lenght of the game might be too much don't do any or at least many of the side quests till a second play through. I made the mistake of trying to do everything I could on the first play through and ended up not finishing it. Stick to the story and level grinding if needed.
