Well Sonic didn't rate nearly as well as M&L so go with that. It will not only last your whole trip but beyond that. Good game especially if you enjoy the series more.

Although I agree with what @Spoony_Tech has said, I have to warn you about one thing: be prepared to cope with hours of tutorials in M&L 3DS and I'm not even joking :/ It has been strongly criticised precisely for this reason.

Currently playing: Persona 4 Golden (Vita), Persona (PSP), Disgaea 3 (Vita), Yumi's Odd Odyssey (3DS), Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS).
Recently finished: Pokémon X (3DS), Persona 3 Portable (PSP), Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS), Virtue's Last Reward (3DS).

Depends who you trust. Famitsu gave Lost World - 34/40

I had very few problems with it once I started using the dpad instead of the circlepad.

I got Mario and Luigi dirt cheap and I still found it dull. (I did like Bowsers Inside Story so it cannot be said I don't like the series).

Lol, surely no-one can trust Famitsu at this point. They have such an obvious bias towards certain types of games. For that matter, you shouldn't trust any individual reviewer. The metacritic score is the most reliable form of scoring, and even that is controversial. If you wanna go with scores at all, go with metacritic. At least that in effect averages out the huge variety of opinions. But you're probably just better off playing a demo, which IS available for Lost World.

Converted from Sony to Nintendo during 7th gen and never looked back.

I feel the same way about that publication. I still think KI:U is the best 3ds game but didn't they give it all 10's. Not say I disagree with that but I've seen some other questionable game score from them as well.

If anybody wanted to they could almost find At least one positive review for almost any game. Its why I use Metacritic as well.

There is 4 people each time. They don't dislike games where a bit of effort has to be put in (Unlike almost everybody else).

metacrtic is useless you only have to look at the broad conclusions it comes to to see generally how corrupt the people doing most of the reviews are.

(Publisher of the Year / Average scores by publication etc).

They also as a group hate hard games so anything I am going to like will end up mixed up the really average stuff.

For things I was unsure of but bought anyway. If they gave it 8's or above I ended up liking it (Presuming it wasn't less overall than a previous entry).

It is biased against Western games but so am I so that doesn't really matter. And I get Western games on Steam anyway. (So I just get all of them when it is cheap and only bother with playing the ones I like). Probably still costs me as much but I just don't bother about it.

I think you just might like it. Try the demo first Though to see if you can get the hang of it. I've put at least 75 hours into mine.

Buy Mario & Luigi, because Sonic is one of the worst games I own on the 3DS, and I own a lot of them ;)

I've had both of these games on my wishlist in the 3ds e-shop for a while now waiting for them to go on sale just curious...

Has anyone tried:

Life With Horses - 3DS
Crood's/Madagascar 3 Combo Pack - 3DS

in the 3ds e-shop? I plan on buying both when they go on sale in the 3ds e-shop but wondering what other people thought of both games first...

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

Need help choosing between these games for my second game in the Buy-One-Get-One-Free Best Buy promotion!

Mario Golf: World Tour - not a golf fan, but this looks fun. Though I won't get the DLC or season pass
Tomadachi Life - I'm more of an Animal Crossing fan and I don't use Miis often. Is it easy to get into?
Yoshi's New Island - heard it was quite easy and short, but charming nonetheless. Is it worth it?
Mario Party: Island Tour - I would only be using single player

@SleepyCrossing I've gotten a lot of legs out of Mario Golf. Even without the dlc there is a lot of content there and the tournaments are great fun. The good thing is you get equipment often just for entering them and don't have to place to get them. I've have to have well over 50 hours on my game and still have a ton more I can do. If you haven't yet do the demo of that and Tomadashi Life and see which you like better. To me Mario Party isn't even in consideration.

Posted this in the DS Recommendations Thread but thought more would see it here:

If I've played Rune Factory 4 and then decide to get the earlier ones will they feel archaic and dated in comparison? Sort of like starting with a new Pokémon and then trying to play the originals (even if the difference isn't as large)?

@SleepyCrossing

I have all four games. :D

1. Mario Golf: World Tour - not a golf fan, but this looks fun. Though I won't get the DLC or season pass

I still have not done DLC for this game but the graphics are awesome. ;)

2. Tomadachi Life - I'm more of an Animal Crossing fan and I don't use Miis often. Is it easy to get into?

I would say extremely easy to get into. I have at least 200 hours already into the game if not more. :)

3. Yoshi's New Island - heard it was quite easy and short, but charming nonetheless. Is it worth it?

This game is NOT easy for me but it is charming. :) Where did you hear it was easy & short? Because I'm still playing the game... lol. :D

4. Mario Party: Island Tour - I would only be using single player

This is good because it only has single player unless you count its so called multi-player which is local play which i don't use I'm the only one in my house who owns a 3ds. :)

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

Monster Hunter 3 is great, I'm waiting for the fourth now (which wont be out until 2015 -_-)
Is there another game I could get? One where I would have to spend a lot of time on and one that will take a while to beat? I just want something that makes waiting less painful.

Megatron: Any last words Optimus?

Animal Crossing & Tomodachi Life are time consumers and Fire Emblem Awakening takes a while to beat.

Don't even bother playing the other 4 GB games. They're essentially regurgitated offerings that either RUIN or improve the games they're based on while offering different variations in terms of stage design and a few other bogus bells & whacky Whistles. Still, playing Mega Man in black & White is a bit of a proto-downer..No matter how you stack it, it just makes these games feel lifeless....Yeesh, looking back many of the stages for this jug head have become one big black & white blistering blur.

nothing really stood out. :P
