Ok not sure about anyone else but I got an small update in my 3ds saturday so i downloaded it.

So when I can home today with Mario Kart 7 and Super mario land 3d I wanted to delete the trailers for those games and for some reason it won't read my software titles. I know its not an sd problem since I can run the games that I have on the card with no problem and it can read what I have in the "extra content" section of the Data Management but not in the software section.

Then I hit the back button it bring be back to where it says "software" "extra data" "add-on content" but when I hit the back button there it bring be to a blank screen completely locking up my 3ds and I have to force reset and no this doesn't happen unless I check the "software" section in the data management. This was working fine until that update saturday (and no this was not the big update where they added the 3ds recording feature).

So I want to know is this happening to anyone else or just me?

somewhat similar - mine won't play certain eShop games, so far up to 2 now - Blaster Master and Let's Golf - once you select the game to play the screen goes all black and locks up forcing me to reset my 3DS - I even deleted them and redownloaded and same problem - my issue is that I play it so much I don't want to send it in for a repair

Could be a corruption in the SD card. You should call Nintendo about this

I hope not but since I can play all the games that I have save on it just fine I don't think its a corruption problem. Its really odd.

EDIT: I also checked the sd card on my computer and there is nothing wrong with it.

***A REALLY, REALLY JERK COMMENT COMING UP***

I've encountered that problem too. Just wait until Nintendo releases another System Update for the 3DS. INSTAFIX!!

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

wouldn't that be nice! hopefully this is a reoccuring problem - so that it can be corrected that way... instead of having to send the 3DS in and then lose a bunch of saved data ... another reason I won't send it in as mentioned:

Some items that can't be backed up and may be lost:
•Photos taken with and saved to the Nintendo 3DS
•Sound recordings taken with and saved to the Nintendo 3DS
•Save game files
•Online connection settings

@abraxas13

Photo's and sounds can be backed up on the SD Card.

DSiWare - Save it to the SD Card
3DSWare - Saved to the SD Card
GBA/NES - Saved to the SD Card
3DS - Saved on the game cartridge

Connection settings are also saved on the SD Card.

Everything can be backed up on the SD Card, as long as it's big enough to accommodate it all.
