3DS has 3D visuals, 1 internal camera, 2 external camera (capture 3D photos), Mic, Gyroscope(motion detection), Wifi, Analogue Pad, touch screen, speakers...

Thats a ton of stuff to sort out as a game developer. You could do so many nifty things. for example..

1. You are holding the 3DS in front of you and you have a character, let's say link, close to your field of vision with Hyrule Castle on the horizon. Using the internal camera or the gyroscope, you could move the 3DS closer to you, away from you UP or DOWN and still not really effect the 3D. you could also pivot on your heel to turn your body around while keeping the 3DS in front of you to cause the gyroscope to detect rotational movement. which might change your camera view in a 3D game.

2. 2 Cameras exterior for 3D photo capture. If nintendo capitolizes on this element by creating some sort of online photo sharing feature, I think lots of none gamers would jump on this bandwagon to be able to take, upload, download and share photos in 3D. imagine you went to the Grand Canyon and took a 3DS picture of it and shared it with all those on your friends list. Imagine a huge library that could be stored similar to youtube or photobucket where 3DS owners could start taking 3D photos as well as videos to share with family and friends. This is a huge step forward. And before other camera companies jump on this bandwagon, I think Nintendo should seal the deal.

That's my 2 cents for now. I know there's more there to explore but Id like to hear what you all think about these 2 items. Thanks

Augmented reality games will be a lot cleaner, as the Gyroscope will provide a lot smoother experience.

Turn the DS a bit and you can turn the photo to a different angle. Like how you can change the camera in adventure games.

Do you realize this is not possible?

I also thought 3D gaming without the glasses was impossible but Nintendo did it.

You would have to shoot the picture from all the different angles in order to make it possible. - . -'

That's a terrible point.
Everyone who knows a bit about 3D can tell you that it is impossible. Nintendo can't do anything about that.

I can tell you that it would be possible if the 3DS had 4, 6, 8 etc. cameras next to each other though.

If you want a smooth transition between the angles you'd need approximately 20+ cameras

What do you think this idea is stupid or just impossible.

It is possible, by skewing the picture to appear as if though it was taken from another direction, but it would look absolutely HORRIBLE on the 3DS' resolution.
