Hi

Ism currently in China and I want to buy a Nintendo handheld here. I can find pins plenty of ndsl consoles here but the sellers say that they are locked to Chinese.
Iam looking for a handheld to which I can buy games and the console in China and then change language to English.

Is this possible on the 3ds or perhaps on a real ndsl?

I'm not sure what a NDSL is. Do you mean a Nintendo DS Lite? Those are really old and probably counterfeit if you're buying it in China. I've seen a few fake DS consoles at markets a few years ago, and I would not recommend that you buy it as you are being scammed.

You should just import a 3DS from the U.S. or Europe. European versions of games usually have more language options (including English, French, Spanish, German etc.) if that would be useful to you; however, you can only play European or Australian version games on a European console, and only U.S. games on a U.S. console.

The good thing about the 3DS is that once you have one, you can download games directly from the eShop using a credit card instead of importing games from overseas.

Best of luck.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
