Topic: 3DS Online Multiplayer

Hi. Just wondering, will there be online multiplayer like there is in mario kart wii? I mean, racing random people from around the world, so on and so forth? Any ideas of how it could be made cool... (achievements e.t.c.)

This. Or a single universal friend code for each person which you only have to trade once, not for each game. Man that was such a drag.

Mario Kart DS had it so 3ds should.

We should be pretty worried if they don't elaborate the online features tomorrow. They have been quiet about it so far and that kind of bugs me.

I assume that we can't play online if we play DS games on the 3DS? :/

I'm sure we can considering Pokemon Black and White have a Video Chat system that ONLY works for DSi and 3DS because of the cameras which then require you to connect online or with 3 other people locally. It's pretty much confirmed because of that.

One friend code per system, don't even have to exchange codes if u and ur friend are on the same wifi network!

Also a friend list will show who is online and what they're playing. You will be notified the moment friends come online through the indicator LED (live text says orange = friend online, green = new data). it will also be easier to join friends' games than before. Sounds great so far.

Yeah, it sounds better. Still not entirely convinced on Nintendo and online, but it looks like there has been a genuine effort to improve the experience, so I'm happy about that.
