Topic: 3DS November Update: Ability to record 10 minutes of 3D video & Youtube Uploading?

If it's uploadable to Youtube via 3DS, they'd be stupid not to make a 3DS youtube app.

I hope they make it so you can do screen recording so we can make videos of playing games, and so that people dont have to hold a camera and play at the same time anymore

The 3DS just keeps looking better and better. The last handheld I bought was an original DS, and this thing is lightyears beyond that.

It's a software upgrade to the cameras. It's just video recording, nothing to do with games.

Not picking fun, but I don't know how a firmware update can updgrade hardware.

If you can put these videos on to YouTube with 240p (oh yay!) then they would definitely be idiots if they didn't include a YouTube app somewhere along the line. If they don't, Nintendo are idiots or YouTube are idots for not thinking about 3D YouTube videos...

What I am excited for is if we can record 10 min. of video we might just be able to put our own videos on the 3DS, like music videos or...I don't know maybe.....JHEN MOHRAN ECOLOGY!

do we know when the update will come? november is here but what is the exact date? i cant find anything. did they tell us the exact date?

I think it will be towards the end of the month.

According to the 3ds blog Super Mario 3D land includes a firmware update. I can't link it right now but what the firmware includes is on the website. Sounds great. Hope you don't have to buy the game to get the update because it's a step in the right direction for online.
3D land firmware updates:
Allows you to jump into what ever game your friend is playing online.
Puts friends that are online at the beginning of the friend list.
Allows you to scroll through the Friend list quicker by hold L or R.

Sweet. You can join a friend's game easily by going to your friend's list and tapping that option.

I just don't understand.. IF you could upload videos to Youtube, than why don't include a Youtube app as well? I know it's said a few times, but it still sounds ridiculous.

If you can upload videos it's not so much Nintendo supporting youtube as youtube supporting a format that Nintendo records in. I'm fairly sure you could, for example, upload videos recorded on the iPhone before the iPhone had youtube support.

Whatever Nintendo do it'll be in a fairly standard format but even if it's fairly obscure youtube will most probably just go "oh, that's a 3D video in that format, don't mind if I do" and magics will happen.

Anyone else guessing that we may get a update this thursday.

Well after seeing that Super Mario 3D Land has that Friend list update I think it makes sense, also it is Thanksgiving.
