Monster Shooter isn't out yet. The rest are DSiWare titles (trust me, if X-Scape was a 3DSWare title, I'd be satisfied in the FPS department for a long while.

Yeah, and the DS titles like MPH and Moon are playable on your 3DS through cartridges.

We're talking about 3DS games here man. Typically, that means they'll take advantage of one feature of the 3DS like 3D, extra power, or the circle pad. Only one I can think of that doesn't is Fractured Soul.

"Why make a Call of Duty game on the DS, but not the 3DS?"

Personally I think shooters have had it, ok so if you enjoy your Halo or COD that's fine, but there is really no innovation to this genre, it just revolves around killing millions upon millions of virtual people and not really much else. I don't mind however, games that utilise the first-person perspective for other things like puzzles or exploration e.g. Portal, Metroid Prime etc, but the game industry doesn't need annual releases of Call of Doody or Medal of Honorz. It makes real gamers look bad because we actually play more than just FPS', unlike these 'Bro gamers that have over popularised gaming to a whole different level.
While I'm all for gaming becoming the norm (and not just a geek sub-culture), I'm just fed up with the amount of gamers who only play Shooters or smartphone games and claim to be "gamers", although that is clearly not what the definition of a gamer is. I guess if you want shooters or FPS' on the 3DS, I'd say ok, but i'm personally gonna stay away unless it's something by Renegade Kid, like Dementium or maybe a new Metroid (similar to Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS).

I finally played through Bulletstorm and Bioshock this year after failing to do so in the past. They're not quite as different as your examples necessarily, but my god was it a breath of fresh air. Like I've tried so many shooters in this generation and those 2 games, plus Valve's releases, Goldeneye wii (which again even that would be a worthless game without its simple yet effective multiplayer and motion controls), I guess the first Modern Warfare, are the only ones where I've felt like it was really good and not samey to the point of frustration (this is technically true since Modern Warfare only BEGAN the sameyness, along with Halo's refusal to still be awesome). Even games that should be interesting like Crysis 2 just bore me. Prime Hunters, while I like it, isn't the answer. It does some cool stuff with Metroid gameplay in an FPS environment but not enough and otherwise it was just a class-based shooter with morph ball modes.

I just don't believe it will happen, especially not on 3DS. If something really creative in the genre does end up on 3DS cool, but I really doubt it. What 3DS needs more is either A. region-locking to magically dissappear or B. for the team behind Mario 3D Land to teach everyone how to make 3D gaming matter.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 better be happening! In the meanwhile though, here's a fun little Let's Play of the original. Think you'll like the game if you like Zelda!

I agree, but still I would not mind having a good shooter game like CoD on the 3DS

The 3DS sure needs more SHMUPs but since the DS barely had any, I doubt the 3DS will. At least I have a PSP for my SHMUP needs.

Wait a minute. You expect us poor, innocent children to climb up dangerous scaffolding and paint naked people all over a church? We'll do it! But we're not doing it for art. We're not doing it for the sake of money. No! We're doing it because we love painting naked people.

I just don't want anymore of thoes platform fighters...
i.e.SuperSmashBros. ProjectXzone, street fighter...
The games do contain different mechanics but, I'm just getting sick of them..
Talking about FPS...
Something like Team Fortress 2 would be preferable...

Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|
