Colors 3D:
Third-Person Shooters: More would be nice, but Kid Icarus and RE: Revelations were both amazing.
First-Person Shooters: There are none. So obviously yes.
Rail Shooters: Nano Assault and Kid Icarus. Both fantastic titles, but we don't completely focus on it, offering maybe 3 hours combined in onrails gameplay. Then we have that hunting game in 3DSWare. I'm going with yes.
SHMUPS: Only ones I remember are Liberation Maiden and most of Nano Assault (last one a bit of a stretch). So I'm going with yes.
All in all, YES YES YES WE NEED MORE.

Screw you.
If it can be done right, I would like to see a first person shooter on the 3DS.
I heard those Call of Duities on the DS were fun, and had online play, but I would love to see Team Fortress 2 on the 3D

Stylus Controls, Circle Pad Pro and just plain buttons if you want (worked fine for me with Metroid/X-Scape). Customizability is key.
I'd like to see more shooters of all type except TPS games, solely because I don't want to draw my attention away from Kid Icarus and soon to be Revelations (Both can vary in perspective but most consider them third-person shooters). The only good arcade-style rail shooter is that hunting game supposedly, and other format Nano Assault/Kid Icarus don't have enough total content to satisfy (Star Fox doesn't count, lazy port). Then there's not too many SHMUPS (I don't count 3D classics).

The Nintendo 3DS could definitely use first person shooters. It's one of my favorite genres thanks to the ones that I experienced on the Nintendo DS: Metroid Prime Hunters, Moon, Dementium and Dementium II. I would like to see them continue on into the 3DS generation with sequels: Metroid Prime Hunters 2, Moon 2 and Dementium 3. A Metroid experience, as a TPS, would be all right as well, but I would prefer a first person game. I find it disappointing that the 3DS has yet to even hint at a first person shooter worth getting behind yet.
