Topic: 3DS: Miiverse

Um I don't think it will be coming... Miiverse is a Wii U exclusive feature.

But the 3ds will have some form of connectivity to miiverse. :3

They've already confirmed that a Miiverse update will be coming to the 3DS later.

I think the main question is how big of an update it will actually be. I think it could turn out disappointing if it's just an app that appears on the Home Screen from where you can enter Miiverse and use it as oppose to an update that changes a lot on the 3DS menu and ads Nintendo Network ID's.

I just hope that it gives us Nintendo Network IDs for eShop purchases. I've downloaded a couple of retail games now and it would be nice to have them tied to an ID and not to a system. I hope nothing ever happens to my 3DS because if it does, I'm up the creek.

I agree Miiverse 3DS wont be as powerful as WiiUs but it'll still be great, and maybe even use the inner camera for video chat

So by my understanding, Miiverse on 3DS is a completely seperate app for 3DS games, but is compatible with the Wii U? Also are Nintendo Network 3DS games getting an update for the app or will there be automatic registration when you boot the app up for the first time? I'm hoping all current 3DS games will have some sort of compatibility with it, otherwise that could be kinda lame since you'd have to have only Nintendo Network compatible games for it.

I don't really care if there are some downsides to Miiverse on the 3DS, as long as

It gets released on the 3DS at all
It has the plaza in it with all the other Miis
you can make communication/messaging/comments with other Miis.

That its an actual app instead of a browser web app.. That and someway to retroactivly patch older games to work with miiverse.

Hopefully Miiverse is just as good on the 3DS.Plus,it would eliminate the need for forums.

I dont care about it, i just care if it's free on the Eshop and maybe it can be compatible with Swapnote.

now that the wii launched and i see videos of people using the miiplaza or whatever it is called, i am really excited for this to come to the 3DS. i wonder if there will be an update till the end of this year. i want some WiiU-feeling on my 3DS haha xD

i hope they implent this on the top screen on the 3DS in the home menu. would be way better than an extra channel.

Well these are all great comments. But I've heard from Wikipedia that its going to be released on 3DS on March 27th 2013. I obviously don't know the true release yet. That maybe a right release date just not too sure.

@KingBowser The 2 year anniversary of the 3DS? Also if you read it on Wiki, then could you post the link? Generally, one shouldn't trust wiki because anyone can edit the info, but if it was cited, then we could be on to something....

Except why would they release it on the 2 year birthday of the AMERICAN release? If anything maybe FEB 27 Japans release day
