The 3DS is turning into the best system ever made in my oppinion. Although the DS is probably still my favorite system ahead of my beloved TurboGrafx. I have not played with those in months with this onslaught of great software. We did have a Bomberman 94 fest this week with my kids 26 and 20 years old this week on the PCEngine. best version of bomberman ever made. We had a 5 player Blowem' up fest for a few hours tuesday night, just awesome gaming! The 3DS is becoming my most memorable and favorite system of all time.

What is your favorite of all time and are you Jealous of the bigtime PCEngine Bomberman Fest at Windys?

Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

It may be #2 at the moment. It has a ways to go to catch up to my splendid PS2 collection.

I'd have to agree with you. It is easily becoming my favorite as well and by the end of the year, it will be without a doubt my favorite system ever. I don't think I have ever had this many high quality titles on one system before in such a short time period and I expect it to continue for years to come.

The DS is my current favourite system - but if the 3DS keeps getting games as good as Fire Emblem: Awakening then it could easily take the spot - especially considering the vast number of improvements it has over the DS.

Oh just a bit of an interruption in the thread. If you own a Wii. You can download Bomberman 94 in the TurboGrafx section of the Virtual Console games and enjoy the 5 player play and cool single player version of Bomberman 94. I think the game is 7.00 dollars. The game is in Japanese they didn't convert it but its very simple to navagate. The game is well worth owning and buying 5 wiiMotes. It's the perfect bring the family together game and blow each other up. Watch it though your relatives will turn on you! LOL

Nothing beats the snes for me. I own a 3ds xl, and adore the machine.

It's definitely a great system, and @Geonjaha it can play DS games too! ^_^

You're right - but I'm afraid I still prefer my DSi in that respect. I prefer the regular 3DS to the 3DS XL; mostly in terms of size (and the fact that I'd like decent volume). This however means I'm stuck with a horrible resolution on my 3DS for DS games. Compared to the DSi the games just look horrible scaled up, so for the time being the DSi remains the best way to play DS games.

The 3DS is like the N64 to me so far: It has some great games, but too many of them are Nintendo games, and the Third Parties either don't care, aren't successful, or are Atlus and therefore guaranteed to put out small quantities.

I'm glad other people are happy with it, but I doubt I'd see too many people outside of a Nintendo forum call it their favorite system ever at this rate.

I do think that's true. I myself have not been a fan of Nintendo over the years. I was huge on sega and miss them alot in the Hardware part of it. When they fell off I bought the DS and it was a go from there. I loved the Pixel art and the colors the PCEngine was able to acheive just some beautiful games. Some of the 3RD party Eshop stuff is reminding me of the PCEngine. Especially the Bloody Vampire game and Color Commando. Check them out guys if you get a chance well done old flashback type of stuff

Oh wow sorry about that. I was kind of excited this morning and didn't read far enough down the thread to see that one

On one hand, I can't agree in any way.

On the other hand, thank you for saying a system that isn't just SNES and PS2.

It's becoming my favorite as well. I'm saying "becoming", because I feel like it's missing a good FPS game or two, and a traditional western RPG and JRPG. That's pretty much it, though. my first game system that was mine alone was a Gameboy, so portable consoles always have a place in my heart. And unlike the DS or the PSP, I feel like the 3DS is getting a lot of effort to bring out some really high quality titles. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Fire Emblem and Resident Evil Revelations are very high quality. And even though I was disappointed by the changes in Paper Mario Sticker Star, I was still completely enthralled with it and couldn't get myself to play another game until I saw it through to the end.

And with Legend of Zelda 1 and 2, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, and the Oracle series being released, it feels like it has so much terrific retro games too. If it had Majora's Mask and Link to the Past, it would never be put down.

It is quickly becoming my favorite handheld. So much great software is coming out for it.

Favorite ever, predictably, is PS2, no contest.

I'm really surprised people feel this way. Don't get me wrong, I love my 3DS. Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Fire Emblem: Awakening are all amazing, and there's plenty of good games too such as Tales of the Abyss, Kingdom Hearts, Kid Icarus, with Mario and Luigi and Bravely Default still to come. Favourite of all time though? I could easily name you a top 20 for pretty much every console I've owned, but for the 3DS if I was making a top 20 I'd have to throw in some games I don't even like. I imagine in 4 years time I'll be struggling to narrow it down to just 20, but for now it's only just getting going for me.

SCRAPPER392

I'm not surprised. 3DS is basically a souped up DS processor wise with the obvious improvements like 3D, gyro, and more SD card use.
My brother is going to finally get one, because he thought that having 40+ video games on the home menu was awesome. He's gonna get the AC:NL 3DS XL. I'm so proud of him...

I am going to try the Oracle series for the first time when that comes out. So much so fast is getting really confusing and turning me into a chain gamer
