Topic: 3DS Internet Not Working Properly?

My launch 3DS' internet has always worked fine, until yesterday.

Whenever I start the system it says it has internet connection, but shortly after clicking on an internet enabled application (such as the eShop or Miiverse), the connection cuts off like it lost connection to our Wi-Fi (sometimes with the message popping up that it can't find an access point). This of course means I can't access these features (which in the case of the eShop, is a pretty big deal).

Interestingly enough, I can still browse the web. The connection cuts off every time after a page loads, but turns on again just long enough to load up the next page (sometimes in an incomplete state, though), before cutting off again.

None of the other electronics in the house are having this problem though, so it has to be the 3DS. Any ideas on what I can do (or what may be causing it)?

Checking myself, but did you check on Nintendo's support page, you can find their network status there.
EDIT: Yeah, they seem fine there...so I dunno. :c

My Wii U has been struggling the past few days with a very unstable connection, but the rest of the devices utilizing our wi-fi are working just fine.

I tried looking to see if there was an update, and while it looked like there might have been one, it errored out (the internet connection cut out during), and the system restarted.

EDIT: Tried again and got through, but it said my system is up to date (and it's still having the issues).

try contacting Nintendo. They might be able to help you out.

Figured out it's not just the 3DS, so it's the internet itself.

The connection cuts off just for a second every minute or so, and while this isn't much of a problem on our faster devices (as long as you don't try to bring something up during that one quick second), since the 3DS takes longer to load things up, it's just more likely to get cut off while loading a page.

We got a call from our ISP saying that we're going to be upgraded with a newer modem (they're using a newer system that the older models can't handle or something), so that's probably it.

ahhh we have 4G at my house but it drops out now and then.
