101GamesakeTue 15th May 2012 Last game I finished was Resident Evil Revelations. Like most everyone else I had hoped Revelations would be a return to Resident Evil's roots. Unfortunately it wasn't. I had to switch off between playing this and Professor Layton to get my puzzle fix and break up all the shooting and more shooting. It's a fun action game but Resident Evil used to be more. Revelations was also shorter than I expected, but considering it's a handheld game and I didn't spend $40 on it, I'm not really upset with the game length.SPOILERS The way the final chapter teases you is kind of mean. You scuba deep down to a secret location where you find a frantic audio log and video warning about how Veltro followers have used the T-Abyss virus on themselves in order to guard the evidence you came for. At that point I was thinking I'm going to be scouring this half sunken ship from stem to stern, fending off Veltro mutants in the fight of my life--this game is just getting started! Then the next room you enter has a boss and credits roll. Well that was a bit anticlimactic. What was all that suspense building for? I guess Kawata hit his deadline or ran out of money. Oh well. Time for raid mode. Edited on Tue 15th May, 2012 @ 04:17 by Gamesake ...in my pants.
