Topic: 3DS Game Prices on Amazon

A couple games are available for pre-order...

Nintendogs + Cats (3DS, $39.99 shipped!, available for pre-order)
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS (3DS, $34.99 shipped!, available for pre-order)
Contra 3DS (3DS, $34.99 shipped!, available for pre-order)
Frogger 3DS (3DS, $34.99 shipped!, available for pre-order)

Hmm, this is rather interesting. I wonder if this is what the actual prices of the games will be or just a kind of temporary placeholder until Nintendo officially announces it. This could be accurate considering that there is no disclaimer. I remember when Amazon listed the Kinect's price at $150.00 before Microsoft officially announced the price, it was correct.

I sure hope games are only 35-40 bucks...

Hopefully those are true, because those prices look right.

And when you preorder you can wait up til December 31, 2020, to receive the game

Doesn't Amazon usually sell games around 5 dollars cheaper then everyone else? So it's safe to assume that most games will be 39.99? Nintendo obviously is an exception because their prices NEVER change. I mean my god, Twilight Princess is still full price, what happened to Players Choice Nintendo!? Greedy buggers!

I thought Amazon sold games at RRP for pre-orders and around release? It's just that their prices drop a lot more quickly than other retailers.

You can't even pre-order the 3DS on the UK Amazon site. Let alone the games.

If that's the standard price for 3DS games and not some random Amazon estimate, I'm thrilled. Even if I don't buy a 3DS until the Lite version, I might just buy some games to amass a decent collection first. Not too worried about Nintendo dropping their prices on me, knowing them and their full-price launch titles that don't drop.
