Hey all
I got a problem with my NEW 3DS XL which only happened recently (I own it for more than 2 years)
the 3DS freezes or either send a "the game has stopped working" message sometimes. it can happen twice in a minute or even not happen for several hours. and also, at first I thought the problem was with some old physical copies I have like pokemon platinum and soulsilver, but it started doing it even on 3DS games like pokemon omega ruby and even a copy of bravely default I only got two weeks ago

what should I do in that situation? it there something I can do on my own to repair it? is it something I cant even deal with and will just have to get used to? thanks

That usually means it's either a problem with the SD Card or the part of the system which reads the cartridges. Either the actual insides of them is damaged or the SD cards and cartridges themselves are damaged. Based off what you said, I'm willing to go with the former. I'd send it in for repairs.

@Ultimategamer132 If I buy another SD card will it fix it? though I guess the problem is with the part that reads the cartridges as you said. can I clean in it in some way? if not, I guess I do need to send it for repair

@VoltageX

I can't 100% say with certainty that there's a way to clean it that I know of. For that, I'd look it up online. For the other things which can most likely be blamed on the parts of the system themself, the best thing to do is either buy a new one or send it in for repairs.

@Ultimategamer132 I will look for a place to repair it and tell them it has problems with the slot that reads the cartridges. thanks for your help =]

@VoltageX

No problem! Oh, and if you want, mention how it may be an issue with the SD card slot as well since that holds their save data.
