I'm sure at some point 3D movies will be offered on 3DS since Nintendo has shown trailers for multiple different movies at various events. I imagine it will be via downloads or it will be some type of online space similar to Netflix. Or....they could just go through Ntelfix and make some special deal with them!

Wait..I thought Netflix was going to in 3D. It it not?
Nothing has been officially announced. All we know is that the 3DS will have Netflix streaming in Summer-ish similar to any other Netflix device. Logice would lead one to believe though that Netflix might start adding 3D movie content just for 3DS and by default, 3DTV's.
there will be at least trailers for future 3D movies and netflix support in north america. dont know about europe. i think we dont even have netflix here do we? never heared of it here
in short there was nothing really universal about Universal media disks lol. and i for one dont like to carry around tons of 3DS cartridges where ever i may go. as high capacity SD cards get cheaper there will be more people with well over 12 movies on SD cards. as for 3D movies dont they take up more memory than 2D?

I can't see me really getting to into 3D films on the 3DS. I would probably buy one just to check it out. It would be neat if Tron Legacy eventually came out on that format!

Nintendo first announced Netflix on 3DS at the North america GDC in early March. They plan on having it ready by summer. As far as physical videos, I highly doubt Nintendo will try to distribute those after GBA video. However I do think they'll add a video channel for your videos on your sd card and possibly allow full downloads of movies in a marketplace.
