I've always been happy my PSP wasn't region locked. Wouldn't mind that for the 3DS (it was good enough for the old DS after all). I don't really care for Nintendo's reasons as to why the games are region locked. One was because different countries have different ratings. So what? Who would that affect? Kids aren't going to be able to or even be aware of importing a $70 3DS game anyway. If they have good reasons I feel like they should just be upfront and say them instead of making lame excuses like that. I dunno. Don't really care that much anyway. But it would be nice.

I think copyrighting issues have something to do with it.

And also, you don't know that a kid can't do that.

Would you rather watch your 3DS on your TV through a scart lead or a coaxial cable? Micro HDMI connections are low power and take up very little space... plus they transmit enough info to allow 3D TV's to benefit from the 3DS' chief gimmick. Any connection lower than HDMI would simply be backwards and pointless.

...that would require glasses. That would kinda ruin the point of the 3DS's gimmick.

Just let it happen.

Glassless 3D TV's a just a couple of months away, then we have Super HD to look forward to in a couple of years. But some people want to play their games on a big screen,,, and if you're epileptic like one of my best friends you HAVE to play on a big screen or else you can only play for 2/3 minutes at a time.

I've noticed that as well. I also noticed that the 3DS music app seems to skip occasionally while playing songs.

To me, it seems to depend on the game. Some look just as good as they did on my DS systems, while others look much more blurry and washed out.

To be honest I think the skipping has to do with something else, like maybe the headphones not fully plugged in. I've also noticed that my cell phone was able to cause the 3DS to exit sleep mode, so maybe a cell phone could be causing the skipping, who knows.

I'm not sure that skip was really the right word. It just periodically kinda studders. However, I'm pretty sure it isn't because of headphones, as it has done it a couple of times while playing through the system's speakers. I'm also fairly confident that your system going to sleep mode was caused by magnets in your phone. Placing my 3DS on top of my laptop produces a similar effect.

On-Line Street Pass: It would be awesome if when you played someone on-line in Street Fighter, Tetris, Mario Kart 7, etc that you would automatically do an on-line Street Pass and exchange Mii's and puzzle pieces. It would be an easier way to collect pink pieces etc for those who don't live in populated areas.

Along with everything in my previous post, I'd also like the gifting feature that was also on the Wii's shop. This post should also bring this topic back to the first page.

So you're saying to lower the resolution of the screen? I think that would be a downgrade

Yeah, that's not really something that can be fixed unless you want the next model to use a 1280x960 (bottom) and 3200x960 (top) screens (the lowest common multiple of the DS' and 3DS' resolutions), and cost about a million bucks. not to mention the space issues with cramming such a powerful GPU into such a tiny volume.
Maybe in 15 years...at which point the 5DS will be out and will remove DS/3DS backwards compatibility so that Nintendo can make you buy digital copies of games you already own.

If the 3DS has not been discontinued SM3DL and MK7 are awesome games, but if the 3DS has been discontinued Sony has taken over the world. It is not true that both Sony has taken over the world and SM3DL and MK7 are not awesome games. Therefore:Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are...

Henmii

What they really should fix is the following:

1: Give us permission to load DSiware games straight of a SD card.
2: Change Copy with Move. When I want to move a DSiware game from the internal memory to a SD card I have to Copy it, wich I don't like. Why can't I just simply Move those games?

Reviving this thread, because I just thought of something, and I can't believe this never occured to me before. Someone may have already mentioned this, but I'm not going to go through all 72 previous comments to find out.

I love the hats in Streetpass Mii Plaza. I just unlocked the Boo one, and it got me thinking. Why are the hats tied to just Streetpass Mii Plaza? Why can't I use the hats I've unlocked system wide? They don't do anything really, but at the same time, they make Miis more personal. I would love for my friends (who I don't see face to face much any more) to see my Mii sporting his Boo hat whenever they check their friend lists. I have no problem with unlocking hats through Streetpass, I just wish you could show off your rewards in places other than the Mii Plaza. Of course this isn't something that would necessary require new hardware; such features could easily be implemented via a system update. Just a few thoughts.

So, yeah...saw this thread...and I still stand by my suggestion of them improving the 3DS Sound. One of my folders of 100 files took like...FIVE MINUTES to load. o_0 WTF?
And yet, another folder of mine that also has 100 files took like, what...5 seconds? I don't get it!!! xD

@Eureka:

The cause of the problem where the 3DS sound application takes longer to load the file listing is because the MP3s have image covers attached to them. Use a software such as Mp3tag to remove any images from within the music files. The list will then load much faster.

What I want in future "DS" consoles.
-When you press "home" and close the screen, it doesn't stop loading
-Above applies to any type of loading like entering the eshop
-YOUTUBE!
-SKYPE
-
-More companies making e shop titles.
I believe the 3DS's number one rival is smart phones or i pods. So nintendo needs to:
-Make more applications
-Makes stuff a ton cheaper.eg.$0.99 instead of $3
(I live in Australia, the cheapest e shop games are $3. So, thats unfair)

I've had my 3DS for 2 weeks and my screen has scratched itself already. I clean it everytime before and after using it and am very carefull with it but no matter what - it still does it. I have even been using the provided poly sheet.
The screens are permanently scratched too, I can't wipe it off anymore.

New 3DS MUST have this problem fixed, along with better battery and twin sticks.

Better battery life could be solved with just getting a better battery. I'd rather them NOT launch a new model.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

On the touch screen? I'm starting to think LIGHT scratching is inevitable, but heavy scratching isn't too much a problem. I have a few medium scratches and I get light ones wherever I put my stylus but it's not to big a deal because you can really only see them under direct light and it doesn't mess up gameplay.
