Personally, I wish the screens would be more flush with the rest of the system, like on ipods. There are a million little cracks on the the 3ds that crumbs tend to get into, and it's rather annoying.
I'm surprised no one mentioned this - how about better quality cameras?

Just let it happen.

DS games that look as sharp and as crisp as they do on DS Lite. The difference between DSL and 3DS display is quite noticeable.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

The DSi loaded music files quickly...the 3DS seems to take forever sometimes...even when I convert them all to AAC. :/

I've noticed that as well. I also noticed that the 3DS music app seems to skip occasionally while playing songs.

To me, it seems to depend on the game. Some look just as good as they did on my DS systems, while others look much more blurry and washed out.

Crappy Nintendo electonics.

Wouldn't you prefer beer?

In the morning?

I'm an Aussie, not an alcoholic. Coffee till 12 noon, then beer.

Better cameras WITH FLASH!

With that battery? No thanks, I don't want to have to charge my console after every second photo.

I want a head mount or stand to provide the perfect distance for the 3D effect, a visor to block out prying eyes, a secondary or external controller setup, and the ability to disable the rather distracting secondary colors, green and blue...mmm, also the ability to play Virtual Boy games would be nice too. Also, have it make me Hot Pockets, mmm.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

Burning_Spear

A much better battery is all Spear needs. But if we're making a list, how about REAL buttons instead of those flimsy Select, Home and Start buttons? I also like the idea of buttons for volume, rather than a slider, like the XL has.

Buttoned volume control, better camera with flash, 2nd circle pad, 3D from any angle, bigger screens, and better battery life. ^_^ So, pretty much, what everyone else wants. Oh and regarding the camera, I don't like how blurry it is when you move quickly in AR. That ruins the effect.

BenAV

Higher volume in like everything, that's the main thing that I've had a problem with.
At home it's fine, but when I try to play while catching the train I can barely hear a thing through the earphones with the volume at max.
Better battery life would be nice too, but I can use my netbook as a charger while I'm out if I need to so that's not so much of a problem.
I don't have too many major problems with my 3DS really.

For the next model I would actually not like larger screens, unless one thing is changed... 3DS games would look great on them, but DS graphics are bad enough. So please fix the resolution issue. Not nessicarily custom changes for each game, that would be rather pointlessly wasteful, but more options for the resolution used would be great. I would rather have them pixelated > blurry and have that be able to set and change so you don't have to hold buttons down to get the image you want. It's really annoying when I play a bunch of 3D-model DS games, I have to hold buttons each time to play how I want. Not cool. When they do launch a second Gen I would also love the CPP buttons added standard, although not sure how that would work without possible size issues. I know a lot of people carry their 3DS in pocket so I understand the frustration there.

i would like to see these added

letter box/swap note needs a keyboard to type notes, my hand writing is terrible.
the ability to send mii`s to your friends mii channel via the internet.
the ability to move mii`s from the mii channel to the street pass mii plaza
youtube should definitly be a must, with the ability to upload videos too
the video recorder needs to be able to keep audio and visual in sync. after a while it does become noticible on playback.
switch the d-pad and slider into opposing positions. i found it was much easier to play games that way round on the wii classic controller.
the a,b,x,y buttons need to be a little bigger.
the ability to move saved stuff easier from the sd card to the intetnal memory. and the ability to set a target memory for all of the 3DS apos/channels/whatever they`re called.
considering the 3DS can play music in the sound app. how about a music shop.
the ability to swap pictures, movies and sounds with out sending them through letter box/swap note.

For me, there's really nothing that needs to be fixed for me for the 3DS. Sure, the battery could last longer, but I can deal with it. Sure, it scratches itself on the top screen, but I already have a screen protector to cover that up. Sure, they should've added a second Circle Pad, but I could buy a Circle Pad Pro for increased comfort and control. So for me, I'm going to stick with my current 3DS unless I drop it in water (you never know) or the shoulder buttons stop working.

To each their own, I guess. Nintendo can announce a new model in E3 2013 for all I care, I just want the games.
