if they are all down it is mst like maitenence or a server failure that they are having trouble with. now that i know they are all down i am doubting we are getting the update, demos, or ambassador games.
Nintendo eShop is down for "essential maintenance" while the other two are just "unavailable" or whatever the error codes say, so it's not just coincidence that they're all down. I expect it's all caused by the eShop maintenance. Maybe Nintendo had to take the server/s offline, I don't know.
It is possible that all the servers are linked and they all have to be turned off for maintenance. Or perhaps they're doing scheduled maintenance while an update is being implemented

but why would they need to take the others down for the e-shop? maybe they are all connected, guess we will see

Nintendo said that the eShop would be taken down before the update, so it could be the update, but if it's coming on the 8th, they wouldn't close it down for over 24 hours, so I'm guessing it's just server maintenance to get it ready for the update (or GBA games) and then release the update on the 8th. :3
The Wii Shop and DSi Shop aren't that much of a surprise, I think the Wii Shop was down for maintenance when the eShop was down for maintenance before, I think that was back in August or something.
But I know as much as the next person, we'll just have to wait and see what Ninty pulls out of their Mario hat.

Nintendo did say before the 8th, the reason they may bring it in on the 7th may be so they dont have everyone and their dog flooding the servers trying to get the update at the same time. No doubt it will come out during the 7th at sometime and we will get a notification on the 8th saying its available. But hey, its just speculation with a bit of optimism. Doubt it will be the GBA games though because they havnt announced the other five yet and at least with the Nes games we got at least 24hours notice of the unnanounced titles.
