It's Thursday and there's supposed to be new stuff, right? Well I was just on the e-shop this morning trying to find out. It's such a mess. Icons say 'new' above them, but it's not new, it's been there a while now. The only way to find that out is to look inside each one and then you find out there's nothing new in there. So I end up looking in all the icons. Yet in the middle of last week there were 2 new Robin Williams videos. So I just never know when to look on there. And I'm really tired of looking up the skirt of the girl in the Dead or Alive advertisement. Why does that deserve it's own icon for this long?
there is an icon to the left, which is new arrivals. usually its there, but... theyre not ALL there. apparently some are considered new, some are not. some are old and still considered new, and... its a mess anyway.
those big icons are changing all the time. some i liked and was efficient disapeared0, some are totally futile like the donkey kong icon or role playing (that dont even show all role playing games ) i dont know who is in charge of the eshop classification, but its a straight bordel. why so big ? why not smaller icons to scroll the whole thing fast. why bothering to classify things when every genre of what the icon mentions arent there ? why changing them back and forth. why a tennis icon for only 2 games ?
this is stupid. simply put an icon for evey game genre, put every game that fit the genre and thats it. one week worth of job for a professional designer and its done. even i could do this.
the whole thing doesnt represent nintendo's seal of quality im used to, i find it strange. are they giving this to a junior to test him out ? i wonder...

Just do a filtered search it makes finding things much easier.
sure, but it requires you to either know the game youre looking for or have your pc next to you to do some game search.
sometimes you just wanna try something random. filtered search didnt pull out some kind of titles i was looking for. i searched for rpg, and it gave me... alpha bounce ? this is an rpg ? not really.
