Damnit the demo will probably hit with the eshop update in the November update, and by then the game is almost here. Ughh..
I just went to Best Buy today and was able to play the Super Mario 3D Land demo. Isn't there a Best Buy near you that you could go to instead of waiting to see IF it will release on the eShop?

And Reggie confirmed at the last E3 that there would be demos on the eShop. They are coming, eventually.
Dang, as usual my local Best Buy is behind the times. The demo station was still playing Steel Diver, with no sign of SM3DL in sight. It'll probably show up there in about a month, judging by how late they were with everything else.

yeah, put them in the eshop. i played countless numbers of demos on my ps3, made me decide which game to buy or not. this is a much better thing that screenshots or videos. you can actually feel the game.

It's great. Mario controls well, though as mentioned before by NL he's a little slow. The levels are almost-kinda-linear. What I mean is that although there is a general set path you need to go through to reach the end, it is packed with secret areas and items. When I sent through the same level a second time I took a little more time to look around and was quickly rewarded with secret areas just out of the camera's reach that led me to 1-ups and Medals.
There are two Bestbuys close to me. One has the 3DS displayed the way shown on the video where you can see multiple games and even choose from different demos, except for 3rd Party games. Contrary, I went to another Best Buy, Nintendo Zone finally downloaded however, trying to access it nothing comes up- anyhow, at this Best Buy, the kiosk had DoA: Dimensions "Now Playing". First time playing it and I like it lol Weird how I could not play it on the other 3DS at the other store.
Even weird- why are some kiosks locked to one game and some others not? And wtf, people are nasty. The 3DS at the kiosk had smudges, dots on the outside of the screen- freaking nasty.
Hope they provide demos through Nintendo Zone soon so I can download the game and play it comfortorably on my own 3DS.

Is this the software/presentation that Nintendo will be using when they actually get demo's out? Seriously - If the Demo's dont come before I buy Mario Kart I wont even care about them for a very long time :/

I was there about an hour ago, it still only had the DOA:D demo, and while I was able to download the Nintendo Zone Viewer, IK was unable to connect and do anything with it. According to an employee there, the Nintendo reps are making their rounds updating the units and they should be updated by Nov. 15 ... just in time for the majority of us to no longer care about them. Ironic, no?
