If it comes with the system then fine. I hope it is just a way to plug it in to the AC adapter though. Reminds me of the overpriced iPod docks.

It's for aesthetic reason only. It's similar to how people would buy a special edition colored DS just for the system's color, or if the person would buy some Pokemon themed styluses or something.
