Topic: 3DS carrying case / hardcase

I already considered it, but i fear of crushing the 3DS inside.

Having used and tested it for some days now i can herebuy say that it's not cheap plastic at all.
It's not as pretty as i anticipated from the picture i posted before. It's got quite a bit of a rubber shell around it which just doesn't look perfectly clean around all edges. And it's really bulky too. But you should need no further protection of your 3DS if it's raining Nintencats and -dogs or if your next best real life Mario jumps on it.
Another small gripe i have with it is that it doesn't offer enough space for bringing headphones with your 3DS.
So all in all it's very robust quite ugly really. I'm happy with it though and even got my first StreetPass hit while using it.

is it a vinyl print on it ? i remember that texture as i worked in car design medias for 2 years. where did you find it, its quite nice. too girlish to me, but it has potential to a lot of great vinyl print designs.

Don't buy these. They're cheaply made, and most importantly, are almost impossible to get on and especially off your 3DS without scratching the finish all to hell. They also make it slightly harder to hit the R and L buttons, despite how thin the material is as aluminum cases go.

Where did you order that from? It seems to have nice coverage. Did you have any trouble with applying it on the rounded corners?

it really looks like controltak vinyl, judging by the squared patern.
great vinyl for rounded application.
still, it might have been a little challenge to put it on. and i agree, too bad it was not a cosmo black model.

Man, I installed the Hori Screen Protector and the Hori Protector "case" and they're crap. I'd ask for my money back, but I threw away the packaging before installing everything. I was uber excited at first because the Screen Protector covered the whole top screen, but after installing it perfectly, I found out it came scratched and has this weird purple hue. The Protector "case" was a pair of clear faceplates, but when they're applied, they give this weird moisture effect in the area between the "case" and the 3DS. Seriously, I used to be huge supporter of Hori products, but their products have gone way downhill, stay away, stay far away. As they are, they're simply overpriced and they don't get the job done. Will upload pics when I get the chance if anyone is interested.

Honestly I think the idea that HORI products were superior has always been a myth. Not that HORI products suck; they're just not necessarily any better than what other companies have to offer.

That is what I've been trying to find since I got my 3DS. Anyone know where I can get it in the states?

I already got one with my pre-ordered 3DS. It's ugly, but it will do. I'm too lame to buy one afterall, most costs too much for just a simple pouch. The only "themed" cases I see in my store are from Mario, and they are designed poorly.

Its not a hard case, but it fits the 3DS perfectly (with included foam insert), looks great, and holds up to 6 games. Great buy for $15 (at Toys 'R Us) IMO).

well this is more of a travel case.
awesome to carry around your library, which i dont see the point anyway else than long distance travel.
unless you switch games every 5 minutes.

You can actually remove the pouch used to hold the 3DS. Its nice for both light and heavy travel.

It was a preorder bonus in Germany. I don't know if it was available in other countries too.

I'm waiting to see if Nerf will make anything for the 3DS. I have a Nerf cover on my DSlite and I love it. It's a little bulky and it doesn't hold games at all, but it sure protects the system.

i have nothing to cover my 3ds but a few years back i got an awesome carrying case for my old ds and it works for my 3ds! its a black leather case with the twilight princess bird and triforce symbol stitched into it, and the best thing is theres no words just the pic which is great, it has nice room inside to, best carrying case ever!
