After thinking about what Nintendo is going to offer this time, I really began to wonder what kind of apps they COULD offer us. Maybe its not just going to be gaming apps. What if future apps will help us learn a new language, or do something similar to google earth (virtually look at parts of the world). What if they allowed us to make our own games? Nintendo always finds a way to improve something. I'm wondering if they are starting to go beyond gaming.
I have no idea what they are thinking, and just felt like getting some of my thoughts out. Let me know what you think about this and what you think Ninty is gonna give us this time.

Given how poorly the DSi compared to the iPhone in terms of non-gaming apps, all I can say is I hope Nintendo doesn't encourage that with the 3DS.

3DS is way more powerful, has a better online shop, and is way more supported than the dsi

Well, considering as a trailer showed it to be able to multitask (at least to a degree), apps will probably be more useful because you don't have to boot them up every time you want to use them, just get back in. In my mind, that means that things like myNotebook will be more useful.

I don't know, Nintendo's apps on the DSi are really terrible. I'm thinking Nintendo will do something about all the complaints we have. The 3DS looks good and I'm sure it will be better, what proves that it will be better is the fact that your 3DS will be off and still connect to the WiFi and to other 3DS's.
And the DSi has that language learning app on the DSi so I'm sure we will see more of it on the all new 3DS

Probably an internet channel that you'll have to pay for when all other make them free, oh and one of various clocks even though the 3DS will likely come with its own clock.

internet channel is free on Wii now(and people got refunds) and always was on the DSi and Microsoft doesn't even offer a browser on the 360 so yeah... nice try.

^Did not know about the DSi one being free. Must've confused it with the old DS browser. At least the clock joke still stands.

So do I. I don't even use the extra features on my PSP. I still appreciate the additional features on my iPod Touch, but it's still primarily a music player. I doubt I'd pay for any of the 3DS apps, let alone use them.

The DS Browser needed to be physically manufactured so it kinda needed to be sold, it needed the extra RAM pack as well. The DSi didn't and the 3DS definitely won't.

I'm hoping the 3DS has a Notepad app where you can type and save notes on to your 3DS and read and/or edit them later
