Maybe I just suck at searching, or whatever...kinda wanna see it for myself...but I don't have an XL or know anyone with a 3DS XL. I have the original 3DS and I'm perfectly fine with it except with one issue, when playing it on go...I don't even have to be in direct sunlight and I still have a hard time seeing the screen. I heard that the XL fixes this, but couldn't find a good answer.

...Anyone have a shot of the two outside or something? Just to compare screens...was thinking about getting one, what's the point of playing the 3DS on the go if I can't even see the game? lol

First did you turn down the lighting on your 3ds. The XL does fix this from what i have seen on mine.

@BellGoriiiiing
Maybe you should wait for 3DSXXXL, with more 3D in your face, and a longer stylish~
I haven't made the jump for a bigger 3DS, with the feeling of a new one coming out soon.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Mine I think is at 4 for brightness. I don't think that would help me anyways, lol.

Its helps as long as your not in direct sunlight. When I take pictures outside on a sunny day I can't see a thing really on my XL. Its all a guess. I have never thought about turning the brightness down though. I like mine maxed at all times.

No, brightness needs to be higher in the great outdoors. He was asking if it was turned down before, and just needed to turned back up when stepping outside.

Like I said I really don't think it would help much, especially if mine is already one level under the max.

If I can squeeze in 2 minutes before work - I'll take and upload a picture of the XL screen in direct sunlight.

That way you can see for yourself what you think.

My suggestion? Play indoors.

I have I 3Ds XL and for me it is pretty hard to see on the go. I haven't really figured out what to do about it yet though

Umm yeah, play any console indoors. No matter what, playing in indirect or direct sunlight doesn't do anything but show dust and make your eyes strain.

about brightness I think they should bring back the option to turn off the screen's lights it's better to play outside like this....

Being someone who only rarely uses any consoles outdoors - this issue doesn't bother me.
Although, they should definitely come up with something to at least improve on it.

Trying to read the screen during direct sunlight is nigh on impossible.
